I have an appt in 2 hours to get my hair cut and I still have zero idea what to do with it. It's super straight and won't hold a curl. I want something that will be fairly easy to fix since pregnancy (and I'm assuming two newborns when they arrive) makes me lazy about wanting to do too much in the a.m., but I still want to look in style and cute. Here's a recent pic to show my face shape (and sadly my most frequent hairstyle lately-pulled back in a bun!).
Anyone have any inspiration for me??

@Mrs. Blue: Since I can't see the pic I'll just say, do you have layers? Adding layers makes a world of difference. Maybe cut it a little shorter...you could always ask your hair dresser for advice too! Definitely come back and let us know what you ended up doing

@Mrs. Pen: I think the last one is about as short as I could go. This bone structure does not play nicely with short hair! I think all three of those would look soo cute on you!
@Bao: I have some layers but they are just really grown out and blah right now.

I think we have pretty similar hair-- is it really fine too? If so, be careful about too many layers. The one hairdresser that I really trust told me if I have too many layers, then the bottom will just look sort of straggly-- but like I said mine is really fine. I think just some gentle layers in just the front, nothing shorter than chin length, and going to just past the shoulders, works best. But it's so not inventive. Anything too short and I feel like then you have to style it and blow dry, which isn't happening.
As an aside, you look so great! Love how your top shows off your bump so nicely!

@Foodnerd81: Yeah, it's thick but fine, if that makes sense. I agree about too many layers. I usually have just a few and then taper it around my face. I usually do something below the chin and never go longer than a few inches past my shoulders. I think my problem is I feel like I always have virtually the same style, and I just get sick of it.
And, thanks! That shirt is one that makes the bump look extra large and in charge! Of course, the fact that I had just eaten Thanksgiving dinner probably didn't help!

@Mrs. Blue: I like the last pic you posted! I think longer layers in the front are super chic. And it makes it easier to pull back for times when you're running around with a baby in each arm!

@Mrs. Blue: That's a cute inspiration photo! Mrs. Pen's photos probably have a little more body (aka a wave or a curl) than your hair...I think Katie Holmes has some natural movement going on.
I've had a perm since I was seven to combat the won't hold a curl thing! I have a fairly round face, but I pulled off the Victoria Beckham-esque stacked bob for a while. You could have your hairdresser stack the back of it. I would angle and layer it.

i have a curly inverted bob that i love...i like bobs but hair wouldnt be long enough to pin/ ponny tail back...so the inverted bob allows for the little "bat wings" (as i call them) to be pin/ponny tailed back if i want hair out of my face...
