There’s an episode of Peppa where they go to the dentist.

The Daniel Tiger episode is new and we just watched it on the PBS kids app the other day so it should still be there. My LO also likes the Peppa episode. We also have it as a book. There’s a Curious George book and Mercer Mayer Little Critter book too if you could find Kindle versions.

The episodes worked well but also pretending to be a dentist. We happen to have a vet kit so we got him to practice on us opening our mouth and putting the mirror in and vice versa. He loved that and did amazing cooperating at the dentist for his first cleaning.

@muffinsmuffins: this is also a great idea! We have played doctor before but I never thought about playing dentist. Totally going to try this before our next appointments!

@muffinsmuffins: yes! Playing dentist worked perfectly for my just turned 3 yo. He has been to the dentist previously where they just count his teeth, but they cleaned his teeth at the last appointment. We practiced with the mirror from his doctor kit and I also used a toothbrush and made a buzzing sound. I even had him close his mouth for the “suction”. He loveddddd it and was so awesome at the appointment. I think preparing kids makes such a big difference!! Hope it goes smoothly for you!
