We have quiet time. I'm not much of a talker in general, but I do try to talk to LO as often as possible. But sometimes I just want quiet, and she seems fine with it too.

I was never able to do that with the LO. She always cried. If your LO is happy to play in her crib while you get something done then I think that is great!

@Mrs. Jacks: I do the same thing, and yes, I definitely feel guilty about it. But sometimes I need to just stick her in her crib while I'm getting ready in the morning and preparing her bottles for the day. I do feel really bad that I'm missing out on precious interaction time with my baby. I wish I had someone to do all of the household tasks, so I could just play with my baby all the time, but alas that is not the reality.

Yes, and it makes me feel so bad. I took DD everywhere with me when she was little, and I spent every minute of her awake time talking to her, cuddling her, etc... With DS, I often have to leave him in his bouncy chair or on his play mat during his awake time. I just feel bad that I don't have the opportunity to give him the same attention I gave DD at this age.
