we have the step2 at my mom's house and both kids ADORE it. if we had it here, i would use it as a stroller to the local playground.
now that we have two kids, i would love that radio flyer wagon. we'd use that as our stroller for sure!
i think kids will like the car more though. it makes beeping sounds and has a steering wheel.

@Freckles: you & I are doing the same thing today! We're both in search of a wagon:)
I do like the step2! Very nice and I am sure it is way more fun because the child can feel like he or she is driving.
But, I am having #2 within a year and I want a wagon that can fit both kids. Plus, think about neighbor kids? I just feel like, having a 2-seater can be much more fun.
I am into the pathfinder for now, but, I wish I could find one that has deeper seats. Meaning....the seat and the ledge aren't so close. Kids are clumsy ;/ and there are bumps and stuff.

I wanted the step2, but didn't have the space to store another piece of gear at the time. We got the radio flyer wagon after our second was born. We use it ALL the time during the non-winter months. The kids definitely prefer it over their strollers.

@Mrs. Bee: I know LO likes the step buggy (i was re-reading your post on Charlies fave 12+ month toys!) because they were pushing her around in it at daycare. But i also feel sad that our stroller won't be used because she'll want to be in the buggy.
@TurtleDoves: I have a gift certificate to toys r us and the buggy is on sale until today! We are also hoping to get the wagon when we have two kids. Ahhh decisions!
@BoogieBea: Isn't it mindboggling that they have a preference, even though it's practically the same thing? A ride with wheels??

@Freckles: I think my son likes the fact that he can easily get in and out on his own. Also, they can have a 360 degree view of everything vs a stroller. So it's great for trips to the zoo or other outdoor events. My daughter just likes everything her older brother likes.

We have both - definitely the step 2 buggy!! We never use our stroller to go to the nearby park anymore because she constantly wants to be in her buggy. I think she loves feeling like she's in control of her very own car. Any free time she has, she's asking for the buggy, who she calls her " beep beep". She's always saying, "I want to ride beep beep". The height is perfect for us too cuz it doesn't strain our backs.
