Just sharing that this medicine (which I’ve been giving my baby for over two months) has been recalled due to it containing a known carcinogen
And I found out on social media and not from my doctor so I’m really upset

@magnolia: were you getting it otc or rx? Where I work our rx items have not been recalled so perhaps your med hasn’t been affected. I’d check with your pharmacy

@magnolia: yah definitely check. By us you would get a phone call from the pharmacy if you were affected but it never hurts to check

Is there a difference between the oTc and prescription ?

@magnolia: the manufacturers. So each manufacturer will recall their own drug, with specific lot numbers. So everything otc got pulled, but only certain rx ones. Your pharmacy may not have used those manufacturers or even if they did they may not have had affected lot numbers

@magnolia: It is only the tablets and capsules that have been recalled. The liquid suspension has not.

. I just had a hard day yesterday after a terrible ent appointment and was freaking out. I’m gonna see the pediatrician tomorrow and see if there are other options
