Sooo my daughter has a rash on her chest, just some reddish bumps, doesn't seem to bother her. We used a new lotion the last 2 nights, but she doesn't have a rash anywhere else but on her chest. If it was the lotion, wouldn't she get a rash everywhere? FTM lame-o question....

How old is she? Did she eat anything new today? Maybe a piece of clothing was rubbing on her chest? Did the rash show up right after applying the lotion?

@swedishfish: she's 14 weeks old. I noticed it yesterday morning, after I used the lotion the night before. I didn't use the lotion last night, but it seems worse today! Nothing new, just her normal breast milk!

@ellewoods84: if it's back again today and you didn't use the lotion last night, then it's probably due to something else. Heat rash, maybe?

We get this a lot and it's usually heat rash (Google prickly heat) or a rash from staying in damp spit up clothes too long. I try to wipe him down with a washcloth and dry his skin as well as I can and it usually goes away quickly.

my LO has some bumpy red areas on his chest--his is eczema.
