Sadie has developed a red rash on her cheeks, the front and underside of her chin, and her neck. It looks almost like hives, but it's only on her face & neck. Is this just baby acne? She hasn't eaten anything different.

The difference between hives and a rash is that hives move around and disappear and reappear. If it is hives, it could be anything, and hard to figure out what it is.
Could it be chapped skin? Has she been chewing on fingers or drooling or anything? Or have you been wiping her nose a lot? DD use to get chapped cheeks when she was younger that was due to getting her nose wiped a lot.

H had this and it was 2 things...Baby acne and irritation from me not washing my shirts in free/clear detergent. I used aquaphor and aveeno at my ped's direction. It got better immediately and had subsided after a couple of weeks!

Rash for baby = reason for acute care at the doctor. Go in. Usually it's nothing but there are some that can be awful. Please call your doctor. Sounds like this one is something not very bad but I wouldn't trust the internet to your baby's health.
Take a photo, draw an outline of the rash, go in tomorrow.
(Sorry if that sounds scary)

P had a rash, not hives, on her face (jaw & cheeks) that went down into her neck & chest (around collar bone) that didn't resolve until I cut wheat from my diet... No cream, keeping dry, etc helped. It didn't seem to bother her but then again she had so many other tummy/digestive issues it just may not have been high on her list of complaints.
I agree if it doesn't clear up it warrants a doctors visit... Atleast you can get some piece of mind.

@MamaBehr: she hasn't been drooling, and she puts her hands to her mouth when she's hungry, but not enough to irritate her face. It's like little bumps... is that what chapped is like?
@PrincessBaby: my first inclination was baby acne. Did you use regular Aveeno and Aquaphor?
@pastemoo: Ahh! I will call in the morning, but I can't figure out what would cause a rash. Nothing has changed. I was thinking it was probably acne, but I'll call to be sure.
@runsyellowlites: she's FF and has been doing really well with her formula, so I don't think it's food related...? That's exactly where her rash is though... except not quite to the collar bone.

Sometimes babies can live their first few months with no sign of allergies and then they just appear. So it could be a food thing and/or eczema.
