I have a black dress that's 60% cotton, 40% Modal that has sort of lived it's life color wise and is not longer "black" black-- I'm thinking of redyeing it at home because I love the fit and it's not available anymore- anybody successfully done anything like this?

I haven't ever tried something like this, but I think it's worth a shot. Have you ever dyed anything else?

@pui: back in high school, I redyed a pair of black pants constantly because they faded all the time but they were more like those thin jean type pants...

@Mrs. Pink: From my limited research, both Cotton and Modal take dye well, so it should work in theory!!
