I think there has been a similar thread in the past, but I haven't seen one recently. I need book recommendations for while I'm on maternity leave. Has anyone read anything lately that they've really enjoyed? My most recent book was Rules of Civility, which I really liked.

What types of books do you like to read? I'm currently reading Fall of Giants by Ken Follet - might be a little heavy for maternity leave though.

Usually novels, but I'll do non-fiction if it's well-written and engaging. I'm thinking that really heavy stuff is probably not the best maternity leave reading though...

I'm reading Blue Angel by Francine Prose right now. It's a novel, but not really light reading. When I think light I think chick lit--my favorite chick lit authors are Jennifer Weiner and Jane Green. Little Earthquakes and Goodnight Nobody by Weiner and Babyville by Green are great.
