We have a 2-door Yaris and my 4.5 month old DS is going to outgrow his infant seat in the next couple months (hopefully not sooner!). I'm hoping to hear from folks who have 2-door cars and use rear-facing seats. What cars and seats do you use? Is it not really that big a deal to get in the back to remove the baby or do you just have to suck it up until they can face forward?

I had the two-door Yaris when I had DS, I'm probably not going to be much help as we traded her in for a Prius before we got to the convertible seat but I actually think the convertible seat would be easier to deal with in that car. I always hated clipping and unclipping the seat from the base in the Yaris and would often just pick DS up out of his seat instead.
Do you have your infant seat behind the passenger seat?

@ rachiecakes: Yes, our infant seat is behind the passenger seat. That leaves little room up front for passengers. I'm a little worried about having to climb into the backseat, unbuckle DS and then climb out holding him. But I guess we'll just get used to it.

But once they are front-facing, it'll be fine (though it'll probably be a looong time for us. DS is only 17 months but he doesn't mind at all).
I think it's just difficult until they are front-facing in small cars, there's just not much room. But they grow so fast, it won't be forever
