It's November and I'm starting to think about Christmas! My son will be 16 months old at Christmas and Santa wants to bring him a play kitchen. It needs to be nice looking (ideally wood) b/c it will go in our living room (we live in an apartment so this is the only option) and it needs to be 30 inches wide or less. Help me shop!

I absolutely love our IKEA kitchen and the price is right. I think it's very neutral and attractive.

We are getting the hape kitchen. We live in an apartment as well and I liked the smaller footprint along with it being made with wood

We love the IKEA kitchen. We had another one but this one grows with your toddler (adjustable height), has tons of storage plus it looks good.

i love our kidkraft espresso kitchen. it goes with our furniture and has been going strong for 2 years now.

@peaches1038: we got the Hape kitchen about a month ago. We love it! It is the perfect small footprint; and is visually appealing as well (super simple and neutral) I like that you can add pieces on if you want to expand it.

We have this one from KidKraft and we like it a lot. I love that it kind of "blends" with our decor, since we have it in our living room and our house is open concept.
I think we got it on sale during a Target KidKraft event - maybe $80-90?

We have the KidKraft retro kitchen in white and DD loves it! It's super cute and durable.... But it took DH and I probably 4 hours to assemble on Christmas Eve.

We have the same one as peachykeen. We love it. Two years later she still plays with it all the time and is in great condition.

Our kid Kraft looks basically brand new after 2-4 years with lots of play. I think both IKEA and Hape look really cool too.

We also have the Kidkraft Espresso Kitchen and really love it. We use it to double up as a toy storage. We keep the boxed puzzles and board games in there.

We have a kidkraft kitchen and would def recommend it. It's appealing and durable.

I've been trying to choose between the Hape and Ikea kitchens! I'm curious which is more highly recommended.

@peaches1038: we have a Hape kitchen and love it too. Ours looks a little different than the one you posted. I find Hape toys to be very high quality!

We have a pbk one (retro all in one style) that is not very wide and has held up extremely well for the past 1.5 years with lo usin it almost every day
