I'm looking for a toy xylophone for LO since she has virtually no musical toys. Would love to hear recommendations. Thanks!

Disrecommendation for this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Little-Tikes-627767M-Tap-a-Tune-Xylophone/dp/B00840LCB4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1375395950&sr=8-4&keywords=xylophone
It's out of tune and dives me batty. I ended up ordering this one instead, but its more "instrument" than "toy".

Highly recommend the xylophone from Hohner Kids. It's one of the few that are actually in tune, and I love all of the musical instruments from Hohner.

@yin: I second this xylophone!
@Crumbs: We bought this kit for DS when still in the US http://www.amazon.com/Hohner-Kids-MS4001-Musical-Shaker/dp/B000KIHCB2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375436246&sr=8-1&keywords=hohner+music

Xylophones! Apparently I LOVED my xylophone when I was a toddler. Later on I nagged my parents til they bought a(n admittedly kind of crappy, upright) piano, and I wound up taking lessons for ten years.
I should make sure we get a xylophone. Thanks for the reminder
Sorry for the thread hijack

We have one that has both the xylophone and keys to push, and LO has loved it since she was like 6 months old -

@lamariniere: @yin: I found it! The brand is called Halilit on AmazonUK, but it looks exactly like it! Woohoo

@sunny: funny, that's the in tune one in our house! I play "do a dear" like everyday for LO on it. Ha.
We also have the leap frog animal one, and it if not even close to being in tune. So annoying.

P.S. According to Sesame Street, one with metal plates is called a glockenspiel. Lol I can't wait for P to throw that word out there! Ha.
