My small 3 story house is all hardwood floors and I'm tired of using a broom. I want to get a canister vacuum for Christmas. Do you have one you like? Tell me about it, I'm a vacuum virgin! I don't want to spend a ton of money so no Dyson or Mieles, etc.

This isn't a canister vacuum, but I have it and it does the job. Only one room in my house is hardwood (kitchen), so it might not fit your needs.

@avivoca: I already have something like that but it's not heavy duty enough sadly. It gets full so quickly, and the roller gets jammed.
