Recommend your family sedan, I've got 2 kids 20 months apart. I want decent space on the passenger side and a large trunk. If it will hold my double BOB I'd be in love

@jetsa: DH has a Chrysler 300...the lease out very well. I cant speak for a BOB but his trunk is HUGE. He easily fits multiple sets of golf clubs in there. We also just took it for a weekend trip to Philly (10hr car ride each way) and it was very comfortable. I had 2 suitcases, pnp, 4 grocery bags and two large utility totes (thirty one) in the trunk with no issues!

Following as we're in the market for a new car to replace DH's death trap. We already have an SUV so ideally, we'd like a sedan with great gas mileage so that it can be my commuter car. We also have 2 LOs.

Both my husband and I have Honda Accords. Our kids are 21 months apart and are both still rear-facing and the car seems plenty big enough.
Technically my husband's is the Honda Accord Sport and it has an even more spacious trunk than mine, but that could just be because it's newer, not because it's the Sport edition.

I can't speak for it fitting a double BOB, but I do like the trunk space in my parent's Camry.

We love our Volvo S60 and the trunk holds our Uppababy Vista without any problems. We will likely be looking at the Volvo V60 wagon when it is time to replace the S60 just to have some extra space though. Safety was our top priority in selecting the Volvo but the seats are unmatched for comfort and the car feels super well built.

We have the VW Golf wagon, and I love it. Tonnes of trunk space, right now I have an Uppababy Vista and two suitcases in it.

I love my Mazda 6. It got better gas mileage and was priced better among some of the more popular sedans (camry, fusion). Our carseat fit without issue and the trunk is huge. I had a Mazda 3 before this, and never had a problem with it. I put 170,000 miles on it in 6 years and only needed to do regular maintenance. Other friends with Mazda vehicles have had similar experiences.

I got a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport a couple of months ago and love it. My DH is 6 feet tall and has no problem riding in the passenger seat or in the back seat. He says it's actually really roomy. And we can fit a ton in the trunk. I get 31-33 mpg.

@lawbee11: @kiddosc: @erinbaderin: @CarDad: @avivoca: @Adira: @MUI831: @Mrs D: thanks everyone, the accord, camry and sonata were already on my list but I love all the other options! I drive a Honda pilot now but with 2 car seats it's a tight squeeze in the passenger seat (ridiculous). My kids and I commute 40 mins each way 4 days a week and other than that it sits in the garage. We had decided to buy a van but it really doesn't make any sense.

@jetsa: I don't know how you feel about another SUV, but we rented a Chevy Equinox a couple of weeks ago and there was so much room in it. H's carseat is pretty huge front to back (Graco MyRide 65 and she's still RF) and I had plenty of room in the passenger seat. Had she been behind the driver's seat, I would have been comfortable driving too. It has decent cargo room as well. I felt comfortable driving it when I got our dog too. We normally drive a Versa, so going to a larger SUV is sometimes difficult for me, but I had no problems with this one. The gas mileage was terrific as well. We drove from SDF to Beckley, WV and used about half a tank of gas.

@avivoca: I'd be okay with another SUV but the MPG is always less than a car. =/

@avivoca: I drive an Equinox now and love it for all of the reasons you just mentioned. The mpg is great for an SUV

I got a Hyundai Sonata a few months ago, and so far I love it. It has a ton of trunk room, and the back passengers comment on how spacious it is, even with a car seat. It think its be best deal for your money.

We have a Subaru Forester we bought this year, I love it for my 2 kids (19 months apart), it will definitely hold your double Bob in the back. My husband uses it for commuting 50 miles a day (total round trip) and we get about 30-32 mpg.

We have and love our Toyota Venza. It's a hatchback, which I love and drives like a small SUV but fits everywhere.

Thanks! We went with a Hyundai Sonata sport and love it so far!
@lawbee11: I can't believe the amount of room it has inside even with 2 car seats. It is awesome thanks for the recommendation. We looked at the SE and I couldn't pull the trigger with the lack of options.

It's a crossover, but an Outback and I love it. Mine are 17 months apart and I can fit my double in the back (in a case with the wheels off) among other things when needed!

@jetsa: Awesome! I'm still loving mine. Did you get the one with the smart trunk? It's my favorite feature!
grapefruit / 4663 posts
@lawbee11: nope I don't think I got that option or at least they didn't point it out. I'll have to check it has push botton start and such so it wouldn't surprise me if it did have it lol
