I think we're getting the girls a swingset for Christmas. We currently have a hand-me-down metal frame one that's kind of dopey and run down. I want to get a nice one with things to climb on, maybe a playhouse, that kind of thing. They will be 2 years and 8 months at Christmas.

We have a big yard and don't live very close to a park so we opted for a big swing set.

@Mrs. Sunshine: Yeah, it was a birthday/Christmas present from both grandparents from last summer through LO's 60th birthday. I would recommend the brand though!

We also have a Gorilla playset, we got it via Costco and it cost about $900.
One thing I see a lot on FB tag sale groups is actually playsets, if you have a truck and have the patience to go and dismantle the thing, you can get a wood one for $300 in my area (NE).

Do you have a preference between wood or plastic? We are not in our forever house so wanted one that would be easier to take apart and move with us when the time comes. We have this one and my 16 month olds love it. We switched out the swings for baby swings.

We actually just went the used route, found a decent sized wood one on a local Swap site. When we went to pick it up it was ROUGH looking, but with a power washer and some new stain, replaced the swings it's looks brand new.
