Anyone using something they really like? I used to use the JJ Cole mat, and liked that it folded down well, but never really attempted to throw it in the washing machine (seemed a little bulky because it is stiff).

We have this one and overall I like it a lot. No padding. But sand doesn’t stick at all and washing is easy.
It has a pouch attached that the whole thing balls up into very easily so it’s super small and fits inside your beach bag easily. Has corner pockets to fill with sand so it doesn’t blow away.Not waterproof. So if you put it on wet sand or wet grass it will soak through. But hasn’t been an issue for us yet.

I got the Gathre mat (Gathre. Com or create and barrel) and it is the best baby gear I have ever bought! Super versatile to take anywhere and would be great at the beach. Wipe off, folds into a bag . I've used it like 6 times in a week already.

We just got one from Costco and I like it! It’s a little slippery but water and sand slide right off it
