My mom keeps asking me what I want for Xmas and I just realized this is what I really need instead of a new hand bag or something. I really don't like my current processor+blender combo. Does anyone love their appliances? They could be a combo or separate units. Thanks in advance!

For making purees I didn't buy any baby blenders/food processors. I simply used my magic bullet (already owned) and it did the trick.

I L.O.V.E. my food processor. It's the Cuisinart 14 cup. I use that thing all the time and plan on using it for baby food at some point. I was making mac and cheese the other day and it has a shredder attachment - it shreds cheese like magic!

I have an old Kitchen Aid one that works fine but....I wish it worked a little harder!!

@mediagirl: I got it at costco! I totally recommend getting one. You can make soup, ICECREAM, and tons of other stuff in it!

I also love my Cuisinart food processor, I was able to buy a special bundle at Costco with a second bowl.
For a blender, I really want a Vitamix, is the Blendtec similar, I've never heard of it and it would make an excellent Christmas present!

I have a Kitchenaid food processor and a Kitchenaid blender...both I love! They do a fantastic job, and both match my stand mixer..candy apple red

We love our Kitchen Aid mixer and Cuisinart. We actually have a small Cuisinart and I want to get the larger one since we use it all the time.

Another vote for the Cuisinart food processor. I have the 14 cup model and love it. We have a Kitchen Aid blender, and it's okay, but not my favorite.

I have a cuisinart food processor and like it a lot. But an immersion blender is on my list too, we had one and it broke and it made life easier.

@Andrea: I'm sorry I don't : ( Mine was a gift at my wedding shower so I didn't do the research to select it. I do know mine has three different size cups that nest inside of each other so if I just have to do something small like herbs I can use the smallest cup. Maybe the non elite only has the one size 14 cup

I have a kitchenaid blender and LOVE it! That thing is powerful. I'm rarely loyal to one specific brand but it's really hard for me to venture away from kitchenaid for kitchen appliances because I trust their quality and durability. A food processor is on my wish list this year too.

I was considering buying a Beaba but I think I will stick to the 7-cup Kitchenaid Food Processor (still not opened!) that we received as a wedding gift!

I ended up buying the Cuisinart 12 cup cuz I saw it at Costco but I haven't tested that baby out yet! @chopsuey119: oh ya, i looked for your blender but they did not have it.
