I paid *significantly*! Ugh.

We got a refund, but all because of DH. We tried a few different things and if we had filed married but filing separately, I would've owed Fed, but gotten like, 5 bucks from state. Everyone said getting married helps with taxes...I beg to differ. Our house helped, getting married didn't.

I got a refund thanks to daycare costs and LO. I usually dont get a refund

@JennyLayneAZ: US taxes penalize married couples where both spouses work, and even more so if both spouses make a similar wage. So, for example a couple where each spouse makes $50,000 will be taxes more than a couple where the husband makes $90,000 and the wife makes $10,000. It sucks!!!

No idea how, but we got a pretty sizeable refund. We would have gotten even more, if only DD had been born 15 days earlier...

We got a small refund. LO was NOT the tax credit I assumed she would be. I think we got something like a $100 deduction for having her. Good thing she's CUTE!

I had to pay but DH got a sweet refund so it all works out

We finally got a refund. We had been paying back for years.

We always have to pay because we're a small business owner. I get a refund since I work for a corporate company, but we always owe for my hubby's portion for our shop so even with my "refund" we still owe. Sigh.

@Anagram: amen, sister. Time to do away with this antiquated tax code that penalizes women for working. If we lived on only DH's income, with LO and all deductions we would have gotten almost $7k back; instead we pay at about a 28% tax bracket and owe additional taxes! Lol/wth. We do what we are supposed to: pay a bunch in taxes, have a child, own a home...and still we owe.

A "friend" on FB said it best: you need more kids and less jobs.

Le sigh. I always buy a nice bottle of wine on tax day.
