I'm at wit's end. We've had a litany of breastfeeding issues culminating in our getting LO's lip and posterior tongue tie clipped this morning.

We nursed in the office right after the procedure, and she did okay although it was a little hard to get her latched on because she was still crying from the procedure and I thought she was just too upset (but she did ultimately latch after a minute or two).

But now she won't nurse. I didn't realize it during the day because my LC still wants me pumping mostly to try to repair the damage she has done to my nipples. So I'm only supposed to bf her a few times/day.

Before bed she had a lot of trouble latching... she would latch on then pop off immediately, scream, flail at me, grab at my necklace, hit my face, etc. After about 5 min though I could get her on and then she was okay.

But now she just woke up and I could NOT get her latched on. I tried for about 10 min and she just refused. She was clearly hungry and seemed frantically to want the boob. But it was in her mouth and she was still wailing. Couldn't get her latched at all. My husband ended up having to give her formula while I am downstairs pumping.

What the hell? Like this was supposed to make things BETTER. Not worse. And I'm so frustrated because I'm worried we just put her through this, and we spent all this money on it, and it just made everything worse.

Has anyone else had this happen post clipping? I am going to keep offering boob every session and hope she gets over it, but I"m worried
