We are on Week 5 of pretty much being potty-trained for pee during waking hours. I can take her out of the house with regular undies, she wakes up from naps to pee, tells me, holds it, etc.
Now, when it comes to poop - OMG!!! She holds it. Refuses to go in the potty, refuses to go in a diaper or pull-up even. She used to go once a day, but not any specific time. Now, she holds it and every other day is HOURS of torture for me. Whining, clinginess, constant trips to the potty, requests for wipes/new undies/pull-ups, etc. She just refuses to go. I think she's gone #2 in the potty maybe 3 times in the past 5 weeks. Usually, she FINALLY goes in the diaper when she's sleeping and wakes up because of it.
I've tried everything I can think of. HUGE rewards, bribery, over-the-top praise, not making a big deal if she does go in the diaper, etc... but nothing is working. I even give her prunes (pouch) when she's constipated. I feel like a prisoner to a little tyrant every other afternoon/night when she's holding it in. Anyone go through this and how to help her just "let it go"?
