I don't have a set recipe, I just kind of...improv it, but I was reading through the comments section of the Pioneer Woman's Chicken and Dumplings and I swear some of the Southern commenters were about to start a dumpling war!

Ree's dumplings were dropped in and made of a mix of cornmeal and flour (mine are similar, actually!), but when I lived in the south the dumplings I had were made of Bisquick rolled out and cut into rectangles (like thick pasta). And there were no vegetables in it!

So some of the ladies saying Ree's is just a chicken soup with dumplings made me snicker my agreement, because it's definitely NOT what I grew up eating...but I like her style better

What do you consider chicken and dumplings? (And what region do you live in?)
