LO came down with croup last week and had a fever for about 3 days, so he was getting motrin pretty much every 6 hours. Since then, it turned into the cold from hell, so he has been insanely cranky and unhappy unless we give him motrin. I am usually really not ok with regular motrin dosing for more than a few days unless there's a fever, but the difference between LO on motrin and off is insane--he goes from screaming and crying and only wanting to be held and walked around to running around and playing after the motrin kicks in. I think he is pretty much over his cold now, but I think he has top teeth coming in--I figure he must be in pain from something if the motrin has such an effect on his mood?

Anyway, how long would you feel comfortable using motrin for (like a 1x daily dose)? If I give it to him today that would be 7 days in a row he's had at least one dose...any other suggestions for making him more comfortable?
