Tonight, Bee was giving Charlie a bath when she called out to me. "Come here, Daddy! Charlie needs you!"
I started walking over and heard him say, "No. Mommy needs you!" Oh snap. He was saying that he didn't need me.
Then after the bath, I got ready to give him his bottle. Bee started to leave the room and Charlie panicked. "Mommy sit," he said as he glanced over to the glider where we usually give him his bottle. That's his way of saying that he would prefer for his mom to sit and give him his bottle, instead of me.
Double rejection! It was hard on both me and Bee. I'm sure she would rather have me give Charlie his bottle! And of course, I would have loved nothing more to not be rejected by my son. Alas...
