When did you start putting your baby in either a restaurant high chair and/or shopping cart.
My daughter is still too young (4months)
but her neck control is getting better and better.
When we go out to eat I hate to just leave her in her car seat especially because of a flat spot she has on the back of her head.
When did you start using the high chairs and shopping cart (with a cover of course!)

I started using them when she was good at sitting up on her own. I tried the shopping cart about a week after she was sitting up but it proved to be too much too soon. She was worn out by the end of the short trip. So I waited a few weeks to try again. I also added more support than just the pillow that came with the cover.

I think it was close to 6 months-- when Baby X was sitting up on his own and when he was big enough around to not slip right through the openings.

We started using them when DS could sit on his own. We have a cover and that helped a lot. When we first started, we had to tuck a couple of blankets by his sides when we put him shopping carts. Otherwise, he would lean over.

I never used a shopping cart cover. We just carried LO in the ergo when we went to the market and took our Lobster with us to restaurants.
Once the weather warmed up and cold season passed, we started putting LO in shopping carts (without covers) and in restaurant high chairs.
I'll wipe the high chairs down with diaper wipes before putting her in them.
I think we started doing this when LO turned 14 months old?

Not until he could support himself in a sit very comfortably and would hold on to the front rather than just fuss and flop back. For us that was around 7+ months.
