Has anyone used one of the reusable K cups with just a regular tea bag and had it make a decent cup of tea? I don't drink coffee but I love iced tea. The K cups are getting expensive but I wasn't sure regular tea bags would work in the reusable cups like coffee does. Thought I would check to see if anyone has tried this before spending the money. Note that I'm not looking for a cup of tea worthy of sharing with the Queen. I normally just pour it over ice to get tea flavored water.

@MUI831: haven't tried it but we should... Got the keuring for DH to make chai but we haven't liked any of the premade k cups and haven't been ambitious enough to try this

Haven't tried this. Do you mean putting a tea bag in the reusable cup as is, or opening the tea bag and dumping the tea leaves into the reusable cup before brewing?

DH just puts the tea bag in the bottom of the cup and runs a hot water cycle over top of it....he's happy with the results.

I haven't with tea bags but I have with loose leaf tea and had it turn out alright, though you don't get to control the temperature, etc. I prefer to just put it in a cup of heated water tbh

@tinyperson: @dreamocracy: I know this is probably the right way to do it but I'll admit I'm lazy and again, not looking for an awesome cup of iced tea here. I'd rather not brew the tea and then pour it over ice. Just an extra step. Clearly I'm paying for convenience here. .
