Do you find it hard to takesomeone serious when they send you an email from a silly address like lovemachinedaddie2190@something.com
I had silly emails as a teenager but by college i stopped using them except for emailing my friends. So for work related things, and resumes I use my serious email address with my first & last name

For work-related stuff, I think it's so obnoxious to have anything other than your name! Particularly if you include a number with more than 2 digits in it.

Haha that used to be my favorite part of the hiring process was seeing people's hilarious emails. I'm willing to try but have a hard time not judging unless its their name @gmail.com

yes so odd when people still have that as their email! I was told it should be first/last name or as close to it as possible at a gmail account when applying for jobs. I was told hotmail looks unprofessional (this was during a meeting with the resume helper people at my university.. can't remember what they are actually called.. so resumed helper people sounds good ;))

I still use my crazy email address but its only to friends never for work related things. I use my professional email for that

I received a resume the other day from mamasboy143@....com. Seriously, why would you send out a professonal resume from an email like that? Create a new one!!

I had someone think that my first initial, middle initial and last name @gmail.com was me trying to be funny. They were like, milky sock? Ohh...that's clever! I had to explain that I wasn't trying to be clever...it was just my initials and maiden name. Not exactly sure what a milky sock would be anyway!

I had a guy apply for a job with an email like 69babyzooted69 hahaha, and as one of his contacts he put "Rachael. Baby moms" ..wat.
I made DH get a new e-mail when we got married because he had a silly one from HS!

My boss occasionally sends me things from her personal email account....the name is a little childish but nothing *too* embarrassing, but still!!

I'm still amazing when I see girls who have "xoxoxo" in their email addresses and the like. Nothing very embarrassing between mr.pearlbee and I, although I did finally get him switched from Yahoo to Gmail.

Ughhhhh, my husband has a yahoo account he uses for junk email type stuff and it's TenderLove(DH's name)@yahoo.com. He's not shy about giving it out even though I'm totally embarrassed whenever he does.
Edited to add that TenderLove is an old college swim team nickname!

My husband throws resumes away without even reading their experience if he sees a dumb email address. He has seen stuff on resumes that shocks me. Sometimes he brings them home just so we can laugh at them.
In the past, he had one chick email him thanking him for the interview and her font was PINK.
I don't even what to know what her email address was! -

even when I was in high school my email was firstname.lastname and four digits - the digits only because my name was taken.
I had a friend whose email was pigscanfly @ hotmail or something like that... really weird!!
