I had mega crazy swelling when I was pregnant and am now 4 months pp. I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring since March (I delivered September 1!). I just tried it on again and it still won't fit. DH gave me a huge gift card to a jewelry store here and told me to go get a band (I only wore my engagement ring because I have a high cathedral setting, and when we got engaged he gave me a larger center stone over a band) ANYWAY, did anyone have this problem being this far out pp and rings still not fitting? I am thinking about getting it resized tomorrow, but still haven't lost hope my fingers will go back to normal!

Wait! I'm 9 months pp and I just barely got that sucker over my knuckle at 8 months pp. I was horribly swollen too. I'm giving it until a year and if it still doesn't fit, I'm getting it resized.

I'm trying to hold out hope! I miss wearing my ring and don't want a replacement...I just want my ring to fit! My shoes don't fit either still...grrrrr....

@matador84: Sorry to say but your shoes may never fit again.
Mine dont either. I'm about a 1/2 size bigger still.

My ring finally fits back on my finger, but it's pretty tight. LO is 17 months old. But I'm hoping to get pregnant again somewhat in the near future and I feel like my fingers will get even bigger and I'll never get to wear my ring again! I need to suck it up and get it resized.

When LO turned one year old and I STILL had to squish my rings onto my finger (and it turning purple!), I decided it was time. I had to resize both rings. I was so sad.

I would wait a bit. Mine did not fit at 4mo pp but they fit now at 6, almost 7mo pp. Wait it out and hopefully the swelling will go down a bit.

It is so crazy, the weight is gone but I never thought the swelling would have such bad side effects. I blew up like a balloon! Gosh...I don't know what's worse the fact my ring doesn't fit or I can't wear any of my 80+ pairs of shoes! I'm still the exact same size but between a wide and double wide...impossible finding cute shoes!
@mediagirl did they like magically shrink down? Did you do anything?

Is re-sizing really so bad for a ring?! I haven't worn my rings since I was about 5 months pregnant... I'm 5 weeks pp and they aren't even close... I really don't want to wait 6 or 7 more months, ugh!
I have a care plan that includes free resizing... would it be terrible if I got them resized now, then again if they get to be too big??
Mine dont either. I'm about a 1/2 size bigger still.
