How long did your baby get on all fours and rock/lurch before actually crawling? My little girl is just 7 months and already doing this, and it seems like uncharted territory since my older kid didn't crawl till 10 months!

@sloaneandpuffy: M started rocking a week shy of 8 months. It was about 2.5 weeks before she started crawling!

About 3 weeks. He started rocking at 7 months and started crawling a week before he turned 8 months.

I am pretty sure my son never rocked. Or if he did I don't remember!

I don't remember B rocking. He would get up on all 4s and then lunge. I think he started around 7 months. He didn't crawl till he was about 8 months.

It was just a few days for my LO...maybe a week at max. He started army crawling first. He did that for about 2 weeks then started real crawling on hands and knees.

Maybe 2 weeks of rocking/push-ups around 6 months old.

He started pushing up to hands and knees at 5 months, was rocking back and forth a week later, and 3 weeks after that he was crawling
