If your house had 3 bedrooms upstairs, and one bedroom on the main floor (all the same size), would you:
Put all bedrooms up, and playroom on the main floor or master on the main floor and kiddos and playroom up? I'm thinking playroom on the main floor, but would love opinions!

I'd want to be separate from the kid's rooms so I would put the master on the first floor.

I would also do playroom on the main floor and all bedrooms upstairs. It can always be switched down the road when kids are older!

I would put my master on the first floor. Are all the closets/bathroom setups the same? I wouldn't give up a WIC and bathroom for the sake of being closer to LO's room.

I would want to be near my kids rooms, especially in the infant stage i wouldnt want to have to keep running up and down stairs

If all the rooms are a good size and you don't mind not having an attached master bath, then put the playroom downstairs. I imagine a playroom on the samefloor as the kitchen is useful.

Definitely put the playroom downstairs. That way LO can play while you cook or relax in the LR when she gets old enough to not have to be in the room.

@MRS. LEMON-LIME: There is no attached bath anywhere in the house, that's what makes this a toss up. If there were a bath attached I would be in that room lol, I've always wanted a bath attached. Sigh.

My SIL has older kids (3 and 5) and the kids room+playroom are upstairs and it seems like a nice set up!

I'd keep the playroom upstairs to keep all the toys/clutter up there and out of sight for when guests come over. Less clean up for me because it'll only be upstairs. ha!

Can you keep the bedrooms upstairs, and if you stay in your home for an extended period, change the set-up once you are done with the baby/toddler stage? We are right next door to LO now, which is nice. I certainly won't feel that is necessary once she is older, though.

I would have all the bedrooms upstairs. I have a strange little fear off sleeping on a first/ground level.

I'd put the playroom downstairs until the kids are older and then change.

I wouldn't want to truck up and down stairs every time my kids needed me/risk them tumbling down stairs in the middle of the night coming to me, so I'd have all the bedrooms up.
