Turns out LO had/has Roseola 
On Friday, our daycare nanny called and said she was running hot and her temp was around 100 but she was otherwise in good spirits, though she took a longer than normal nap. DH picked her up as normal and we managed her fever over the weekend (highest was 103) and gave her lots of cuddles and extra sleep/fluids as we didn't know what it was (she's also teething). This morning I noticed a faint, but definitely present, rash on her trunk, neck and around her face/hairline - Roseola it is!
Now my question, should I call and follow up with her pediatrician? It's pretty much run it's course now that she has the rash, right? Wondering if I need to take the time to bring her in or if we shouldn't bother. I don't want to be a neglectful parent by not taking her to get looked at but if it's not needed, I would rather not expose her to the germs at the doc's!

The second time DD got roseola, I didn't call her doctor because there's nothing left to be done. When she got it the first time her doc said just that - just let it run its course and in a few days she'll be good as new.

Roseola is common and self-limiting. I think unless your baby runs a fever for several days (we usually use the cut off of 5), is dehydrated or inconsolable, you are probably ok... but you can always call the nurse line and see what they recommend.
I didn't bring my girls in for Roseola, even though the fevers were quite high.

@Mrs. Jacks: What do you consider a 'fever' for the 5 day limit? I was reading Seattle Children's info on fevers over the weekend when we weren't sure what it was and they seem not to consider anything under 102 as a fever per say. Her max over the weekend was around 103 (these are ear temps, she is almost 10 months) but she was a little warm today still, about 99-100 and the rash has presented. Not dehydrated and in good spirits, eating and nursing/bottles well.

@lindseykaye: we call 38.5 a fever for anyone over 3 months of age. That's 101.3. For newborns we're much more conservative and call it at 38.0.
Fevers can't cook your brain and are a normal part of the inflammatory process. We really don't get worked up about them unless they last for 5 days straight or there are other symptoms of concern with it.

@Mrs. Jacks: I think we're good then. I know fevers are beneficial (up to a point) in fighting infection so we didn't really treat it when she got lower than 102.
Thanks so much! I think we'll skip the follow up and just keep an eye on things in the case somethign strange happens, though it sounds like textbook Roseola so far.
