I'm usually not one to get too excited about the royals but I have always like Harry, and like how Meghan has carried herself since their marriage despite relentless bad press. I was happy to see she waited at least a couple of days before a photo op and she is so relatable looking clearly like a woman that just had a baby. There are constant comparisons between her and Kate but I like that they are comfortable doing things their way.
I also like how the baby's middle name is Harrison which sounds like "Harry's son"
ETA his full name is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and people are having a field day criticizing Archie as being from the comic (insert eyeroll)

This pic is so sweet. I love following all the royals but it’s really neat to see Harry and Meghan doing things their own way. I love that she didn’t walk out of the hospital hours after giving birth for pics!!

@Mrsbells: Very exciting and very sweet! I do feel for Meghan a bit, she looked quite uncomfortable and those shoes, yeesh
Great name for that sweet little baby! Hopefully Meghan's back in her jammies in bed now

@Autumnmama79: yes I felt so bad for her. Two days after birth I can barely walk. So having to put on a nice dress, and heels and hair & makeup is just a lot to ask a new mom. Clearly there are downsides to being royalty
@jhd: I agree totally!

@Mrsbells: I guess its the last time we'll probably see Archie for a long time. It seems like they don't really get photographed much until their first birthday?

I always am so curious about how the royals deliver their baby. There's never any details. I know theyre just human but it seems crazy to think of princess Kate shiting on the table or Meghan Markle mooing like a savage. and damn, those doctors and nurses must have been so nervous! You definitely don't want a malpractice suit coming from the Royal family

I loved this pic! I follow Elizabeth Holmes (eholmes) on Instagram and she has fascinating reads on the Royals that are always interesting. She pointed out that Archie is apparently the #18 popular boy's name in the U.K., so that might be why US ppl were more surprised by it. @pachamama: I read somewhere that Meghan wanted a home birth but had to be transferred to the hospital? Not sure, so don't quote me! But I hope everything went okay.

@pachamama: ha- it’s true- I can’t see Kate doing any of that! Meghan I can see being more normal though.
I was also really happy for them that they waited an extra day or two to come out and be photographed. But can you imagine choosing a WHITE dress? That’s risky business...

The first thing I noticed too was that she is wearing a dress that's embracing what a woman who had just given birth would look like, bump and all! Love her, love them!

I love the royals and them in particular. I hope she’s back in sweats. Also I love the name. I think it’s adorable.

I love this pic. So sweet! I can’t imagine having to be so dressed up so soon after giving birth. I love the name Archie.

@Mrsbells: People are stupid. Archie/Archer is adorable. That is all.

@wrkbrk: haha I know right!
@Foodnerd81: yes the white dress is super brave! She has been criticized so much for wearing black but that would have been my choice or navy. But she rocked it!
@pachamama: yes it must be so nerve-wracking being the doctors and nurses. But I am sure they were well prepared.
@Autumnmama79: I think there should be official christening photos in a few months?

My first thought, damn, now I can’t use that name and it was on my list for my coming baby and I quite liked it. Second thought: wow, she looks so normal, obviously still glamorous, but I appreciate that she looks clearly very freshly postpartum. I would have died to do pictures that soon after having a baby. I can’t even imagine.

Such an awesome pic. Def appreciate the “realness”. I actually remember thinking Kate kept it decently real too...remember her cradling her PP bump in the first pics on the hospital steps? I mean yeah, in heels and glammed up. But I feel like she could have hid her body and made a point to point out her bump!

I love this photo, they all look so happy. I also loved the video interview with both of them, their excitement and giddiness of being new parents was palpable!

I like Will & Kate and Harry & Meghan and was super excited to see another Royal mama looking beautiful and happy after giving birth. I don’t know how far Kate had to walk before stepping out of the hospital for her photos, but man Meghan seemed to be walking for days! Archie is cute- Archer even better IMO and still can use a nn. Even though his name is not necessarily a Royal name Archie Harrison sounds pretty classy and rich to me.

I love all the pics
I would have pooped myself if I had to go outside wearing my adult diaper padsicle in a white dress and have lots of people take my picture.
