@Mrs. Pen: I agree! I am curious what names Kate would've chosen if she weren't part of the royal family! She has such good taste, I'm sure she would've came up with some great names.

I think maybe Harry would use Diana in some way, but I don't expect Wills and Kate to. My vote is Mary Adelaide Elizabeth, Mae for short. My prediction is Alice Elizabeth Victoria, though I do like Charlotte with George.

Was there a royal Alice? I'm curious why it's one of the expected choices.
I wonder what the Vegas odds are on them using Camilla!

@jedeve: It was the name of Queen Victoria's second daughter (famous for insisting she breastfeed her own baby, fun fact), and it's a middle of the current Princess Anne (Queen Elizabeth's only daughter). It's also the name of Prince Philip's mother, so William's great-grandmother.

@rattles: I love your pick. Mae would be so cute and Mary Adelaide Elizabeth has a great flow and is so classic.

@CarrieLouWho: that's pretty much my guess too. Maybe Margaret or Anne instead of Elizabeth though. I also really like Frances but don't see that happening.

I like the middle names but think the first name is so overdone these days. Perhaps it's not as popular in the UK as here in the states though?

Yay love it! Charlotte is so popular right now, but I still think it is a beautiful, classic name! So glad they used Diana.

@lawbee11: Aww, I love it. Charlotte is one of my favorite girls names.

They have good taste.
Obviously, they just copied us. Followers. Psh.

@coopsmama: And no, it's pretty equally popular. Charlotte is a fairly traditional English name. We heard it a LOT more there than we have since being back in the States.

According to this, it's the 21st girls name in England, down from 7. http://names.darkgreener.com/#charlotte
She will probably always have to go by Charlotte + last initial, though. It'll just be HRH.

People's website can't decide what she's named. Somebody didn't proofread before publishing

@cookiemomster: Lol awkward! They obviously prepped several name posts in advance to be able to post quickly, which makes sense but....someone should have been paying more attention when actually posting!

@loveisstrange: @jedeve: Interesting. It's absolutely a lovely name - I've just heard it so frequently these days (both online and within my own circles) that it doesn't feel quite as special for the princess, but that doesn't really matter.
@cookiemomster: ha! Wow.

My LO is also Charlotte Elizabeth! I'm a trend setter

@jedeve: haha I doubt she'll have to worry about distinguishing herself with a last initial- she'll always be Princess Charlotte

A very pretty name! Unfortunately my good friend is already using it for her daughter (she's due the day before me!) so I'll have to think of something else.

Love the name. Glad they were able to use Diana in her name.

I like it! Don't care if it's popular, not everybody names just according to trends.
