Hit me with whatever you got. I thought I had all the testing but I really want to cover my bases. I think I will try and get a 2nd opinion when I'm in the US.

Mine was the basics: HSG, blood work (prolactin, thyroid, etc)...stuff I'm sure you've done already. But if we had lost this one, too, we were headed to a thrombophylia work-up.
I found this site when doing research. It's for an RE clinic, but it lists their RPL work-up. May help?

@TheSwissWifeStyle: I am not familiar with this test. But I wanted to give you a big hug. I'm so sorry.

I am so sorry.... this really stinks. I go to talk to my doctor in November and I will be sure to share what he says. I know the normal is 3 losses before they do too much testing, but I really want to start looking into things now.

I'm so sorry, babe.
I had an HSG, full karyotyping and chromosome testing (to see if I was passing on an extra part of a chromosome I guess?), and a full panel of blood work. They found an MTHFR genetic mutation for me.
@T.H.O.U.-new research shows that two losses is just as likely to show problems as three losses. With less heartache.

Thanks everyone. I thought I had alllll the testing. I dunno. I'm losing my faith in the system or whatever here. And in myself I can't believe this wasn't it.

I'm so sorry I think it's a great idea to get a second opinion while you're in the US. You're from NJ area, right? I know there are a lot of great fertility clinics in that area. Hugs!

I am SO sorry. I hope you get all the answers you are looking for, soon!

I am so sorry to have read your news.
I wish I could help you navigate, I know my sister in law used interventions, as did a family friend. It is frustrating when it's not your home country and you don't know the ins and outs of the system and you don't have a good referral. Another thing you can try is calling the kantonspital and see if they have a recommendation for you. I would also be tempted to get a second opinion at home, but I would worry about how the results/diagnosis would translate (not literally, but if anyone would be accepting of them, Swiss are funny people like that).
Have you thought about perhaps joining an expat club? I was a member of one in Zurich and they have a lot of members with a lot of resources available to them.

I hope you get a good workup when you're in the US. Let me know if you have any questions.

Oh, no . I am so sorry for your loss. I don't have any advice on the testing but I wanted to give you a big hug. I'll be thinking of you and your DH.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: I think when people have tested for everything they sometimes get helpful answers from immune testing. I don't know of any reproductive immunologists in the SJ area but there's an active message board online that can point you to one who might be able to do some kind of consult while you're in the States? Also I have a book I can give you while you're here if you're interested...
P.S. So sorry again that this is happening. Gosh I hate this for you.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: Where are you going to be in the US? I thought it was NJ, but Spaniel just said SJ. If its SJ/Bay Area, this is the guy that pretty much wrote the book on reproductive immunology and would be a great place to check out (in Los Gatos):

@Mrs.Someone: SJ = South Jersey, sorry for the confusion!
ETA: And yes, that is literally the book I was referring to.

@spaniellove: Sorry, west coaster here! Do you have the book? I've been considering getting it.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@Mrs.Someone: Yes, there's a lot in the book! (Though not a ton on MTHFR) If @TheSwissWifeStyle doesn't want it you're welcome to it.

@spaniellove: Thanks for the offer. I'll let @TheSwissWifeStyle take though. I may just buy it on Amazon in the next few days. I have a hard time getting through any book that isn't a novel (boredom), so it may be wasted on me anyway.

So sorry. I hope you are able to get a second opinion when you go back to the US
