I unfortunately have a uterine prolapse (I’m 4 weeks postpartum). I am an avid runner and am devastated. Running has been a huge part of my life since I was 14 and prior to pregnancy I was running 30-40 miles a week at 7:30-8:30 pace plus workouts. It’s also how I socialize. I even met my husband because we were both on the XC team in college.
Has anyone been able to successfully return to running after a prolapse? I have my first PT appointment today so hope to learn more, but I have read that running slower, for shorter distances, and not on hills can help—but of course I like to run faster, long distances, and the beautiful hilly routes around here!
