When do you plan to go back to work, or do you plan to go back ever? I always look at job postings and saw one that I liked, but if I go back to work than DD can't go to preschool (we wouldn't be able to afford full day and full day wouldn't cover a working full day). I guess that really means I can't go back to work until DS is in Kindergarden, so five years from now. When do you think you'll go back, or will you?

Right now the plan is for me to do some kind of work when all of our kids are in school. TBD how many that will be

I've thought about this a lot. I plan on having at least one more LO if not two before "closing up shop" so that puts me at least 6-7 years away from thinking about going back (longer if we have a third.) By then, the little experience I have in my field of work will probably be irrelevant so I doubt I would be able to get a job in that field without additional schooling. I guess I could work part time in a retail setting...
I'd like to stay home even while LOs are in school. I just don't know how DH would feel about that. I see a conversation about this in our future.

Once our kid(s) are in school I imagine I will do something but I'm not sure what. Ideally it will be something informal where I can set my own hours. My MIL cleans/runs errands for a couple of elderly ladies which is perfect because it is flexible but still provides income. Something like that would be ideal.

I would like to start working part-time again within the next year. Most likely I'd be working nights and weekends at first anyway, so if everything works out, we won't need childcare. I'm also looking into working from home, so again, we wouldn't need childcare. Hopefully, I' ll return to full-time work when the kids get into school.
Eta: Part-time, weekend and evening work are pretty common in my field, so I think that's a real possibility for me.

Don't plan on working for a long while..
Once the kids are in school I'll probably volunteer or help with the family biz. -
Once my youngest (don't know how many well have or when that will be) is in school ill probably work part time. This is the plan now at least.... Who knows how things will change.

I would love to stay home and then be available 24/7 for the kids but I don't think finances would support that dream. I'll probably do part time when Lo is in school.

Right now I can't imagine going back to work anytime soon. I would like to wait until my kids are all in school before considering work options. I'll decide in 5+ years.

Really not sure. Ideally, I'll find something sort of freelance where I can make my own hours and gradually add more and more hours as LOs need me a little less. Right now, the plan is for me to stay home for at least a year or two after this LO is born, but by that point #2 will probably be on the way... so, unsure. I'd love to be able to be home while they are in school, to be class mother and stuff like that, but we'll see how finances are at that point. I also want to be able to go on vacations and save for their schooling.

In a perfect world never. Then I could keep an eye on my kids until they go to college lol. By then DH will get to retire so then we can partay!
In the real world, I'll probably at least need to look for something part the once the kids are in school.

Nothing is set in stone but ideally part time once preschool starts. If the right opportunity presented itself I'd consider earlier but its unlikely where we live that something would interest me.

I'm not sure. I will likely go back to work either part or full time after our last child starts school.
