What would you do when your LOs start school? Would you go back to part-time or Full-time work? My sis is planning to, but then again she said she might not, if she has to coordinate with their after school activities ( sports, etc). I work part-time right now and I love it that way. I'd probably never go back to full time work unless we had to financially.

I think if you have a part-time job, that would be ideal! I don't know how people can work full-time since the school day isn't very long and they have so many school vacations.
I will either work part-time or not work at all.

If I do end up becoming a SAHM (still deciding), I will probably get a part-time job once the kids are in school. Although, I would be perfectly happy not to! But if I had some free time, I may as well help contribute financially.

I'll probably go back part-time before all our kids are in school; maybe when DD starts kindergarten... I think I'll probably end up going back full-time when all the kids are in school, though.

Perhaps... it's undecided just because it really depends where I am in life at that point.
I have a 2 mos old, and will continue finishing my bachelors this fall. I hope to get a job after I finish so that we can save to build a house anyway..
But we had wanted to homeschool, if I get a job, we might have to rethink that. We're leaning toward montessori if we go the school-route. Though I know it's more expensive, so I would have to have a good job to compensate for it. But the schools in our district aren't that great, I used to work in them and I didn't like what I saw.
But I would like to work at some point. I think a part-time WAHM option would be the best, or the option of working at home some days. I nanny for a family right now who, after she had her daughter, she was able to switch to working at home FT, then they hired me 34 hours a week. But it was nice, because she was still at home if he DD needed her. Then I later got switched to PT to save money, and now they just juggle the days I'm not there. But it works so great for them.

Haven't decided yet. I'll probably volunteer for sure. Most likely won't go back to work.

We talked about this recently. If anything, I would want to work part time with super flexible hours because of the weekly early day at school, school vacations, my husband's weird work schedule, etc. Ideally, though, I wouldn't want to go back to work so I could be at home getting the house cleaned, dinner ready, errands run, and all that good stuff. That way when the kids come home the focus would be 100 % on helping with homework, talking to them about their days, and extracurricular activities. I would love to also volunteer at their schools while they are in class a couple days a week.

Not exactly, since we plan on homeschooling. I will probably become a part time WAHM though, at least once our LO's are older.
Once they are in college I'd like to work again, ideally with Doctors Without Borders or something to that affect that I couldn't do with children. -
I'll go back part time, unless DH randomly gets a huge raise and I don't have to. I want to be there for when the kids get home after school, I want to volunteer at their school and do field trips, and I want to be involved in after school activities.

For sure. I am not sure if I will go back full time or part time, in the field I left or something totally different. I want to share the financial responsibilities for the household with my husband.
