has anyone ever been to a sample sale? I just got an email about a Boden sample sale next weekend in Boston, and am wondering what it would be like...I love there stuff, but Boston is about a 3 1/2 hour drive for me, and so it wouldn't be worth it unless sample sales tend to be awesome...
I've never been to one-- anyone know what they are like / if this is worth it?

I've been to a Prada Sample sale once and it was awesome! I got a knit top for $50! You have to stand online and wait your turn to go in. Everything's basically in bins and you pick through them.
The items are just slightly defective but nothing noticeable.

Oooh, fun! I've never been to one but I've heard the deals are awesome. How did you get the invite?? I live outside Boston and would love to go!

I'm on their email list! I don't think you need an invite to get in- it is the 18th from 10AM - 4Pm at the Hynes Convention Center, Hall A 900 Boylston Street.

I've been to a bunch and they are usually pretty awesome!! The only one I didn't get anything at was Jimmy Choo (which was annoying bc I waited in line an hr to get inside!) but all the others I've been to (Satya jewelry, Earl jeans, Jonathon Adler, Alice and Olivia) I've done very well, probably too well if you ask my husband!
What is boden, not familiar with the brand!

I have a few of their women's line items- they are beautiful, colorful, and well made. I've been eye-ing their maternity stuff too (although we're just ttc now!) and I'm pretty sure their kid/baby stuff is the cutest ever.
A bit expensive though, so I usually shop sales---just trying to decide if a 3-hour drive is worth the potential savings at a sample sale! Jealous of those who live closer!
