@808love: I use YNAB, so far I've been kinda able to cover the over-spending from other categories. I just hate doing that!

@snowjewelz: Yes! Budgeting is a great. Just resisting those little temptations to buy things right now is so hard! I gotta do these mind Jedi tricks to reel in the urge to spend.

@Mrs. Pen: Please add me in that HB support group! It's been so hard to host and entertain my niece and nephew on a budget. I have shopaholic tendencies so I have had to say no to so many things lately!

I said no to a workout tank top yesterday! It was my color and cute. But alas not mine. I did buy LO an inexpensive present she really wanted. We rarely buy things for her on the spot like that so as to not spoil and decrease nagging but it felt right. Waiting for her to wake up to play with it now and I am counting down the days...less than a month until I pay off my car loan! Since last post, I have messed up twice with impulse purchases that could have waited. One was a specialty food treat that I will use to cook dinner..the other was complete nonsense (hair product).

I said no to baking mats that were majorly on sale. But we don't really have money for them right now if we are going to stick to our budget and I can get by with what I have.

So much! On unpaid leave right now so I pretty much only buy gas, food and diapers/formula. I intentionally stocked up on some luxuries before the baby was born so at least I'm not feeling too deprived. And I don't really have the urge to clothes shop in this transitional size since I'm really hoping it's only temporary.
