Following! Just booked a girls weekend in Phoenix with a friend I haven’t seen in years.

If you like hiking, Camelback Mountain or Piewesta Peak are popular. Papago Park is also popular and barely a hike... very short.

We ALWAYS bring out-of-state visitors to the Desert Botanical Gardens. Gorgeous combinations and unique succulents uncommon in other climates.

We love the Heard Museum, it's extremely well done but maybe not what you're looking for with your style of vacation.

Oreganos is a local Italian chain here that is very popular, can have long wait times but not always.
I also love Grimaldis, but they have locations in NYC and Chicago too so maybe you've tried them.

Sprinkles is in Scottsdale and their cupcakes are delish, especially the s'mores cupcake if it is available.

Driving around the Superstition Mountains and Roosevelt Lake area is gorgeous.

@Iced Tea: You will be about 10 minutes away from where I live. There's a place for breakfast/brunch nearby called Butters that has really good food (open from 6:30am - 2:30pm). You'll be close to Fogo de Chao which is a really good Brazilian Steakhouse.

The botanical gardens are pretty.

Also there are lots of ride share type bikes (you download an app to unlock them) and can just cruise around for a bit too.

@Iced Tea: when you are thinking about being outside in mid may just remember it could be quite hot! We are a few hours south and it is already up into the mid-90s. It shouldn’t be too brutal but even for things like the botanical gardens (which are lovely) think about water, sunscreen, shade, etc. the joys of the desert!

@Iced Tea: yeah you should be good! it is hottest usually around 3-4 so I would plan a morning excursion. Once it starts to cool off the evenings are lovely too. I hope you have a blast!!
