I am due nov 28 and want something super cute and warm and snuggly to take baby girl home in.
Everything I have found is fleece or has polyester in it.
Any suggestions? Links appreciated!!
Eta: Is it even possible to find anything warm that doesn't have polyester in it? I am searching for something made with natural and organic fibers!

Maybe you could do a thin cotton UNDER fleece (or whatever)? That way she's nice and warm but has 100% cotton touching her skin?

I bought DS's coming home outfit from an Etsy seller called Ann Everett Rae. It is Pima cotton and it is soooooo soft!

I would definitely do merino wool. We brought our Feb. baby home in a Nui Organics merino wool footie.

@sorrycharlie: that second one is so sweet. P used to have a striped gap onesie when she was tiny...miss that!
@Rainbow Sprinkles: We bought a 3 piece outfit from Carters for P's coming home outfit. We also got the matching blanket for warmth. It was a onesie, footed pants, cardigan (with fold over cuffs). It was so soft, though not sure how warm it would really be for December

There was a whole rack of organic cotton baby/newborn items the last time i was at babies r us (maybe 2 weeks ago) I bought this for my LO

@ms.janedoe: I am open to wool/merino wool/cotton wool blend. I just want natural fibers on her sensitive skin!! Polyester doesn't breathe very well and can irritate skin. A lot of the cheaper warm baby sets out there have polyester in them, or are 100% polyester!!

I would go for something easy with snaps or zipper and possibly feet. Just so your LO doesn't get cold.

Gap runs huge though. the newborn size didn't fit on LO until he was 3 months old. and I know he and your DD1 had similar growth patterns.
It's hard to find newborn that is really newborn. J was in preemie for 3 weeks.

Gap newborn is not newborn.
I had a bigger baby, I guess (7lb8oz) and his gap NB didn't fit at the hospital so we did a last minute outfit change.
I suggest Ralph Lauren.

I brought DD home in a cotton, cable-knit romper and hat set (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000BVL5E8/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?ref_=cm_cr_pr_pb_t). It was sweet, but the 0-3 month was GIANT on her. Maybe you could fijd or commission something similar though?
ETA: she was a 12/1 and 7 lb 10 oz baby, for reference
