I wonder if we're with the same pediatrics practice -- I asked at my LO's 9-month appointment about lead testing and was told that they will run it if the parents insist but see elevated levels so rarely that they don't generally test for it. Our house was built in 1951, so definitely during the lead paint era, and I know that old bathtubs can be a significant source of lead. There's a test you can do on your tub but it stains so I'm putting it off and just keeping LO in the baby tub for as long as I can... Anyway, I will probably push the issue at some point and get her tested for my peace of mind, and I'm totally fine with the doctor saying "told ya so."

@Mrs. Chipmunk: Ballard Peds -- interesting that they both have that attitude! I guess it's good that multiple practices say basically the same thing? Still makes me a little uncomfortable, though.
