Do any of you remember when your second postpartum period came along? Was it regular after the first, or a more lengthy time, with your cycles just wonky? I'm sitting over here just waiting for mine.... God help me.

With DD, it came right on schedule, but my third was wonky. With DS, it came after 20 days instead of 28.

I remember after DS2 it was wonky...like a full two months b/w period 1 and 2 and then it got shorter and back to regular after that.

@Ms. RV: @JennyPenny: Thanks for letting me know it can be wonky!
@LadyDi: @nwm: omg. exactly what happened to me after my first IVF baby. A shocking surprise baby. I 83% do not want another.

Take this with a grain of salt since I have PCOS and irregular periods to begin with but my second postpartum period came 35+days after my first and I went right back on birth control.

I got my first postpartum period at 6 months. The second one happened about 37 days later, then 35, 33, 32, 28. Now it hovers between 26 and 29 days. It takes time.

@Tionn3: thanks for letting me know this!
@crazydoglady: we will be scheduling a snip soon! Within a year as the outer time limit. I know someone who got pregnant after the skip!!! She didn’t wait long enough. 🤦♀️

I had one at about nine or 10 months postpartum, then skipped a month, and then it was regular after that.

For me it came right on time and I was regular right off the bat... I didnt breastfeed due to taking certain meds that pass through breastmilk so that maybe a huge factor in it for me I think.

@MrsSCB: crazy you skipped a month!!
@cyoung: I’m still breastfeeding my girl, all day and night 3 days a week, and just morning and night 4 days a week. So time will tell!!!

With DD2 I got my period back at 6 weeks, and then skipped nine months before they came back with a regular 33 day cycle.
My OBGYN just shrugged and said "Yeah, that happens sometimes".
