While we are not quite ready for this stage, I have been wondering about this. I thought I remembered reading years ago that you don't actually hook the car seat into anything so that the child and seat will move if there is a crash which would engage the seatbelt.

But, then I thought about adults riding in a car and our seat issecure. So, do you use lower latch to secure the seat in? I could google this, but I know many of you are carseat knowledgeable. I don't have lower latch so I want to plan ahead if needed.
