I am looking for security camera recommendations! Mostly for outdoor use, but possibly indoor use too.

Foscam? You can view them from iPhone/droid apps an computer! Though I didn't have luck getting any sound through my MacBook Pro.

@Bao: I use a foscam for our baby monitor. I really like it, but if you want to be able to see it when you're away from the house you have to set it up and host it in a web page. I'm also not sure that it records of that is a feature that you want.

@yellowbird: yes, it would be great if it could record! It's for protection for my parents house.
