Another friend of mine gave birth last week and she posted a photo of her and the baby on Facebook -- with her right breast almost completely exposed. So far, no one has commented anything out of the ordinary. Just the usual "congrats" and "your baby is beautiful". Sure, it is beautiful and natural ... but are these the birth photos we post online now? I am just a bit confused! Are people doing this now?

Oh gosh, I *hope* no one posts any pics like that! No one needs to see my lady parts or my chest after delivery... That seems more like a personal pic to have, not one that gets displayed on the internet....

before she set her profile super-private and defriended me (and a bunch of other people), a friend of DH's from years ago put up photos when she had her baby. none were explicit - but one was of the doctor holding the baby up right after he came out! there were blood smears on her inner thighs and all. so awkward to see on facebook!

@Andrea: I don't personally know anyone who's done that, but I have heard of it being done moreso now. I personally never would!

My cousin's wife (they live in Australia) delivered their second child a few months back and she posted a similar picture (ie her boob was almost completely exposed). I was completely shocked!

I think pictures like that shouldnt be on facebook, its intimate and private

If you have your privacy settings set so that only ppl you would be comfortable sharing such photos with, I don't see an issue with it. There are some really offensive things posted on Facebook, I guess I don't see it as offensive so as long as she was comfortable sharing them, no harm.
I wouldn't choose to put those pictures on the Internet, but to each his own.

No no no no no no no. A girl's husband posted a picture like that of her, as well. People, you can WAIT until after the 1 hour of skin to skin time to take pictures. OR you can WAIT to take a picture for Facebook until after Mom gets dressed! No one wants to see half nude pictures on FB, no matter if you just had a baby or not!

To each their own, but that would be too private for me. Heck, I think ultrasound pics are too personal and never posted any of mine online.

I don't think I would post any semi nude pics.
A high school friend's husband posted a picture of her PLACENTA on Facebook...I was disturbed!
