@Kaohinani: @Sams Mom: Somewhere in the range of 4-6 dpo. Period isn't due for 9 days.

@Sams Mom: Ugh, sorry that's scary! My daughter has a lump on the side of her face (likely just a swollen lymph node) but her pediatrician just casually threw in that it could be related to leukemia. We're of course doing testing to be safe but he said it so casually and it scared the crap out of me!
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@skinnycow: I wouldn't worry about a bit of spotting so early ... heck, at 6 dpo, it could be implantation! Who knows. 🤞
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@skinnycow: my son's former pediatrician pulled the it could be leukemia on low iron when he was like 18 months old. I freaked the F out and ran back to our out of network pediatrician for a second opinion. She was expecting elementary level iron levels from an 18 month old! He was fine, and thank God we're back in network with the good pediatrician.
Hopefully everything is ok with yours.

@yellowbeach: I’m so excited for you!
@skinnycow: hopefully it’s good news spotting!
@Sams Mom: that would freak me the f out. My kids (and I) always have iron that’s a little low, I didn’t know it could be related to leukemia, I’m glad the doc didn’t mention that, I’d be freaking!
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@LAZB: exactly! I'm prone to low iron outside of pregnancy, but when I was pregnant I was at like a 7.3 the day after my son was born (so close to transfusion levels I guess?) And I had never been told about a link to leukemia until that stupid doctor.
I called my husband when I left that appointment and said I don't care how much it cost to go out of network but I am going back to Dr. B because Dr. T is a crazy bitch talking about effing leukemia.

I know I shouldn't be, but I am a bit concerned with my BBT chart this cycle. My temps are far lower than they have been in the last 9 months. I understand the 3 months I took Clomid would reflect elevated temps; but even in my non-medicated months, my post-OV temps average around 98.2°-98.5°. This month, so far, my averages have fluctuated between 97.81° - 98.04°. I maintain in the high 97s. Low temps are usually indicative of low progesterone or hypothyroidism (the latter, which I was tested for and do not have). Low progesterone is incompatible with implantation and carrying out a pregnancy... I'm freaking out. What gives with these temps?!?!.
I know to not look at a single temp (I'm looking at the sum of numbers and the "big picture), but could SOMEONE ELSE with some knowledge and sanity review my chart and see if I'm spazing over nothing? Please?
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Kaohinani: as to the thyroid part, did they test only your TSH? Or did they test T3 Free & T4 Free? Your TSH levels can be in a normal range, but your Free 3 & 4 can be off... Or even since you have autoimmune disorder(s), you could also have thyroid antibodies; which can also be causing you problems even with "normal" TSH levels.
As to the chart in general, I'm not an expert but if your luteal phase length doesn't change and you sustain a post ovulatory shift, it should be ok?
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: Thank you so much! You are probably correct. I hadn't even factored in having multiple autoimmune diseases which could affect the thyroid and amount of progesterone secreted. I'm really hoping I can maintain a 12-14 Luteal phase (or even better, conceive) this cycle.
As for my recent TSH panel, I'm not certain what it actually consisted of but I had a full panel with T3 and T4 run in April. (* see both affixed) Everything was fine on both. They just keep checking me due to infertility and because I have circulatory issues. As I have stated before, I am the "healthiest, ill person" one will ever meet.
Once again, thank you - you are always a huge help when I need a sounding board.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Kaohinani: if they're doing a full panel on your thyroid, the only other thing I can think of would be you have an autoimmune thyroid disorder like hashimotos? And maybe be tested for the antibodies.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: I'll ask my PCM (and OBGYN) about the possibility and having testing done. *sighs* I don't think that I can handle having yet ANOTHER AD to take medications for and to add to the list of what is "wrong" with my body. 🤔 (*laugh-to-cry)
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Kaohinani: I know it sucks adding another thing to the list... But thyroids are one of the easiest things to deal with. Hopefully it's not anything but another wonky cycle... But you never know

For those ladies who like to read others TWW "symptoms," (* I refer to them as "non-symptoms." ) I haven't had many. ->
Bleeding gums on 3 dpo (guess I brushed too hard), extra cm on 4 dpo, and then dollops of creamy white cm and a headache on 5 dpo (hormone shift).
Today, things kicked into gear.
Non-symptoms starting today (6 dpo):
Bloating, cramps (very low and toward the sides), watery cm, and my food tastes "funny" (* not Haha clown 🤡 funny either. ) so I am losing my appetite.
I hate progesterone. 🤣
Anyone else have any non-symptoms to commiserate over?
pear / 1728 posts
@Kaohinani: Hopefully those are good signs!
Nothing new to report here. Boobs still hurt but everything else is normal!

My OPKs from yesterday and today CD 8 & 9 we're definitely darker than they usually are on these cycle days. Not positive, but probably will be in a couple days; so I'm going to assume I will ovulate earlier than usual which in turn means I get to pee on a stick even sooner.
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@Kaohinani: hmmmm those all sound like promising symptoms to me. Are you going to hold out testing or when will you test?? I would try not to read into the temps too much! Especially if it’s your first cycle with them like this. At least there is an obvious temp shift.
So I took an OPK yesterday and it was positive or almost positive (?) there’s a photo of it in my previous post. I was expecting maybe a positive today but it was a clear negative. So maybe it was on the way down and I O’d maybe today?! Anyone have any insight?
If I put in my OPK as positive yesterday, it changes my O date to today.
We BD’d last night and will try for tonight too just in case. Sigh. TTC is such a mental game! I hate always guessing so much.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@QBbride: I would say if it's negative (noticeably lighter than yesterday) you probably O'd today. Your temps will tell for sure in a few days, but I'd plan as if it happened today.

Well, update on the very faint positive tests. I tested again yesterday and it was still very faint. Unfortunately, AF started this afternoon. Apparently, I had a chemical. On to June. I'll be testing early October.
Good luck to those of you still waiting to ovulate or in the TWW.
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@Sams Mom: I don’t temp, or not yet anyway. But yeah it was super light today and yesterday was either positive or very close. Good advice about thinking O happened today. Which means we got O-1 and O-5. Definitely not my best effort! Wahhh.
@Mrs. Toad: sorry to hear about your chemical, that really sucks. Take care of yourself ️

Ok I will change my test date back to Sept 18, although I work nights Sept 16/17 so might try to hold off until the 19th. (Not likely!)

@Mrs. Toad: I'm so, so, so sorry to read about your CP. I'm glad we will see you on the next board.

7 dpo - crampy and bloated upon waking and temps tumbled from 97.97° to 97.71°. Not feeling too awesome about this cycle; always hopeful, though.
Hoping all of you ladies are doing well ... Have a spectacular Sunday!

@Berly: @Kaohinani: @QBbride: Thanks for the support. I have to go to the store and will be picking up more OPKs and a thermometer to start temping.

@Mrs. Toad: oh no. I am so so sorry. I know how crushing that can be. Thinking of you.

@Mrs. Toad: So sorry to hear about your chemical. I hope you do something nice for yourself this weekend.

@Kaohinani: still holding out hope for you! My implantation dip when I got pregnant with DD came at 7 dpo and dipped to 97.8. With my last last chemical, my implantation dip came at 8 dpo and dipped to 98.2 (higher!). I never charted temps with my son though, wish I had more data to share!
Quick update over here. I’ve gotten four days of flashing smileys (high but not peak). Ugh. Still have not ovulated based on temps and I am CD 15 today. Cheapie opks also indicate negative for my surge.
I looked back on my charts and found this on my ovulation dates:
CD 18 - ovulated based on temps, conceived DD
CD 18 - ovulated based on positive OPK day prior, conceived DS
CD 15 - ovulated based on temps but ended in chemical
Perhaps it’s better to ovulate later in my cycle, although my cycles are generally 28 days, sometimes fluctuates to 30. I’m CD 15 now, maybe in the next couple of days. So far CM isn’t very indicative of it though, and no cramping which I usually feel. This is my first cycle after chemical so maybe things will be thrown off. Seriously feels like the longest cycle and I’m not even in the TWW yet!

@SupernovaJ: Thank you so much! I'm always "hopeful" but with the low temps, falling temps, and no breast soreness; I'm beginning to feel this may be a bum cycle. I kind of felt it was from the start so I haven't put much into this month anyway.
As for you -- I've had up to 11 of those d#mn flashing smileys in a row and had I not been using regular OPKs as well, I would have missed my LH surge and would have only seen it after the fact with my BBT. Just keep BD-ing. You could always cross check with regular OPKs for consistency as well. In any case, I'm hoping for you to get your sticky BFP soon. 🤞

@SupernovaJ: after my early m/c, I ovulated on CD21 (usually O’d around CD14-15) and we caught that egg! Sending you love and good luck!!

@Mrs. Toad: I'm sorry to hear about the chemical. Hopefully next month will be better.
@Kaohinani: Thank you for asking. Everything is fine. It's 11dpo, temps are still up and no spotting yet. I usually start 11 or 12 dpo, so I have been waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I will share my chart tomorrow morning at work if my temp stays up.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@paranundrum: Wow, if your temp is still up at 11 DPO, I'm BEYOND excited and hopeful for you! I am going to keep my fingers crossed 🤞 that they stay elevated and you get your BFP!
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Mrs. Toad: so sorry about your CP
@SupernovaJ: I feel you on the longest follicular phase ever. I'm not as far into my cycle as you are, but this last week has absolutely drug!
@yellowbeach: I know we're already pay transfer time for you on the east coast, but best of luck!
@Kaohinani: you've still got a shot at this month! Your temps aren't telling a sad story at this point. Fingers and toes and eyes crossed for you.
@paranundrum: I'm hoping your temps stay up tomorrow and you get a BFP!
As to me, I think I missed ovulation... Yes you read that right, temping testing, crazy flakes me might have missed ovulation. My OPK Friday was almost positive, then Saturdays looked like it could be lighter, and today's definitely looked lighter. I had a larger than average temp shift today... So if I get it in today I will only have hit O-1 and O+1... I know that's not terrible, but it's only CD10!?
ETA: My dad just called and said my aunt wants to talk out details about me getting my cousin . I'm freaking out man, it's actually happening, ahhhhh

@yellowbeach: good luck today!
@Mrs. Toad: sorry to hear that, hope your body bounces back quickly
@Sams Mom: that would be insane!

All finished and everything seemed to go well. Here's to a LONG 2WW which will actually be a 9 day wait until my bHcG, and a 6 day wait until I POAS on 9/15! (for anyone unfamiliar with IVF, the embryo is already 5 days old, so the bHgg will be drawn at 14DPO and I'll POAS 11DPO.

@yellowbeach: So exciting!!! 🤞 I feel like I've been HB-stalking you alllll morning trying to wish you the best of luck because I'm so excited (and it is not even MY FET!) LOL. 🤣 I have the highest hopes for you. Are you going to find out what the embryo is if/once you get your BFP or wait for genetic testing/scans?
