@Kaohinani: You're a better woman than I. But I have also been known to (prekids) drunkenly yell at pregnant women smoking and drinking while obviously pregnant at the bar.

I know the whole it's her choice, but speaking loudly in public about those things are pretty tasteless.

@Sams Mom: I get having a glass of wine while pregnant (part of my family is European and they do it) but it is a tiny glass in moderation. This woman openly stated she was drinking to terminate her pregnancy. It isn't like she was unable to stop either (such as with an alcoholic who needs treatment). I can forgive illness ... Hers was premeditated!!!! I nearly lost it. I HAD to vent somewhere ... It is not like my 3-year-old would have been a captive audience 😂 and I can't get a hold of my bestie, my sis, my mom OR DH!!!

@LAZB: I think you usually do ovulate before you get AF? I experienced an early loss and that’s what happened to me... and I caught that first egg! Do what you feel is best, but for me, I would just go for it?!

@Kaohinani: EEK so excited you ovulated!

@QBbride: Thank you! I'm hoping this cycle may be a lucky one after the thing that shan't be named. 🤞😉

@QBbride: I ended up emailing my doc lol. I guess my hesitation is that I’ve never ovulated strong enough without some medication, so I don’t want to get too wrapped up in things if it’s highly unlikely that anything could happen. I just can’t be laid back about things! I think I won’t try right now, if we dtd, so be it, but I’m not going to proposition my dh for baby making purposes.

@Kaohinani: I totally would have called her out, who says that?!?

  6. LAZB

Also, she said that I’m probably not ovulating, so who knows

  7. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@LAZB: I didn't want to come across as judgmental or cause a scene, especially since I had my son with me and she seemed to be friendly with the stylist. I let it stew within me instead and vented here. 😂 I just don't "get" people like that.

Thanks for looking. Unfortunately, all I have are blue dye tests. This morning's was just as faint as last night's was. I'll probably wait until Friday to test again.

Top is last night. Bottom is this morning.

    pomegranate / 3904 posts

@Kaohinani: I can understand that, although I think that lady needs a little judgement. I probably wouldn’t have said anything if I had my kids with me, but otherwise, I don’t know

@Mrs. Toad: hmmm, that’s tough. The line looks too off center, but a test in a few days will be telling

    @Kaohinani: that sounds awful

My coworker today was talking loudly about how her pregnancy was a surprise and I couldn’t help over hearing and being mad . Just jealous I guess.

Sorry I’ve been MIA. I went back to work and it’s been so busy I’m exhausted.

I think I’m 3dpo and hoping my work stress doesn’t completely overwhelm me. But being busy is a good distraction from the tww.

Fingers crossed for everyone this month!

Hey everyone! Haven't been here in a little while and hope everyone is good.

So glad I started OPKs this month. Calculations had me at a estimated ovulation date of Sept. 9 (Sunday), but got my first positive yesterday which puts my ovulation a little earlier - Sept 5/6. And just barely made it to BDing. So not sure when to start counting as post ovulation. I am feeling crampy right now.

Other than this, been busy with work, trying to lose weight, and taking care of the fort through crazy work commitments.

@Magnolia: @starlitsky: @Lazb: Thank you. As the day has gone on and I've had time to think about it, I'm able to sort of process it and get over it. I still believe she is terrible person but I'm starting to think that, maybe, this baby will be a blessing for her. It may teach her love, kindness, and maybe she will grow the "f#@k" up (* I don't cuss all that often but it is definitely fitting discussing this woman). I may loathe her actions and want to give her a swirly in the toilet but, honestly, I have to look at the bigger picture that everything happens for a reason and that she was gifted getting pregnant for a reason ... perhaps it is a lesson for her and has taught her humility and respect for her body and others. IDK. In my anger, I shut her out. In any respect, I [hopefully] will not have to see her again. 🤞😉

Temp dip ... I think the secondary Estrogen surge hit today. F'X 🤞 that my temps rise again tomorrow. Looking at charts is interesting but looking at a sticky BFP would be AWESOME! 😉

How is everyone else doing during the TWW?

  21. paranundrum

    clementine / 811 posts

@Kaohinani: I'm 8 dpo today and my temp dropped again. Not sure what to think of that, I guess I'll see tomorrow. Or maybe I won't because I have a sore throat, runny nose and had a small fever yesterday evening (everyone else at work is feeling a bit iffy too, there must be some bug going around), if that rises it probably will mess up my chart.

I think I am out this month. No period, cramping and nausea very very little light brown spotting. I took a First Reaponse expired test this morning(second urine ) of the day and it was negative. I’m going to buy new ones today but if I were pregnant it would be positive now?! Idk.

    Good luck to everyone though!!

  23. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@cake2017: Keeping positive - you aren't out until a full-blown AF arrives or a blood test comes up negative (and even then, my cousin had a negative blood test and 3 weeks later it was positive and the numbers on her beta were off the charts - she was nearly 2 mos along!). I'm staying hopeful, especially since you have been testing with expired tests. Besides, when you receive a BFP is dependent on when you implant and not necessarily when your AF is usually due so, if implantation took place later in your cycle, a BFN would be expected for a few days. 🤞😉

  24. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@paranundrum: I'm sorry you are feeling ill. 🤒 I hope you feel better soon! A dip at 8 dpo can be anything from a single wayward temp, a hormonal shift, the ever-so-exciting "implantation dip," or the start of a downward trend. I REALLY hope it is your implantation dip! I would love to see you move onto the May pregnancy board after all of your TTC!

FINALLY got some crosshairs. Of course it conflicts with my OPK but at least FF thinks I ovulated.

@Kaohinani: You’re too sweet and I appreciate this! Thank you very much! On my way to purchase tests:)

  27. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@skinnycow: Awesome news! I told you yesterday it kinda-sorta looked like you OVed CD16. Your BD-ing is still within the 4/5 days in which sperm is viable in the female body for conception during OV so you should still "be good." 🤞😉

  28. skinnycow

    pear / 1728 posts

@Kaohinani: We BD'ed late night CD14 so I feel okay about the timing. We should've BD one more time to be safe but oh well!

  29. magnolia

    persimmon / 1168 posts

For those of you ladies who chart... what’s the latest day you have OV?

I’m on cycle day 20 just wondering if it’s still worth it to BD... last time was cycle day 17

  30. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@magnolia: Hi, Magnolia. Getting clinical here 😉:
Averages for ovulatory dates in "normal" range are between CD 10 and CD 23. This is for women with 21 - 45 day cycles. Your average is dependent on your regular cycle length .... generally, 10-14 days before one would expect AF. That being stated, it is not unusual for women to have cyclicular shifts 1-3 days +/- which would affect one's ovulatory day. Also, women with irregular cycles are contradictory to this rule. Many gear up with multiple LH surges and may find that they actually have "late" ovulatory periods which exceed even CD 25. Honestly, your best bet, just have BD time every other or every 2 days until you "should" get AF, then take an HPT.

  31. SupernovaJ

    persimmon / 1141 posts

@magnolia: I've only tracked ovulation twice prior to this month. When I got pregnant with my daughter, I ovulated on CD 18. Last month, I ovulated on CD 15 (ended in chemical).

    I'd say go for it!

  32. SupernovaJ

    persimmon / 1141 posts

I'm still not even in the TWW! Taking forever, seriously. But I did get a flashing smiley on my Clearblue Advanced Digital for the first time this morning, which means "high" fertility (but not "peak"). Wondfo stick was a clear negative, so I'm guessing I'm in my fertile window now with peak on Saturday which is consistent with FF, it will be CD 14 this Saturday. I'll try to confirm OV with temping... hopefully will be in the TWW soon. BD schedule commenced last night and will just try our best to be consistent through early next week. But man it's hard and I get so tired at night! Womp womp...

  33. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

So I feel like I have kind of slacked this cycle. I usually don't temp for my period, because it's all over the place; but I haven't remembered to the last 2 mornings now that I'm off and on CD7. I need to start taking OPKs soon ish too because Femara being CD3-7, might change me from my CD 14/15 ovulation. At least my husband is off the next couple days, so we can start BDing (he's on 2nds now so I only see him asleep, or if I wake up at 3:30-4A when he gets home). and he's off CD 12-14, so maybe we can hit the right days.

  34. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@magnolia: I O fairly early for normal, but like Kaohinani said, you're still in the normal range for Ovulation.

  35. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@SupernovaJ: Aw, Super, keep plugging away. 😉 TMI, but DH and I started with early "morning interludes" for that same reason: Just. Too. Tired. 😂 Hoping you get your pos HPT soon (and a BFP soon after!).

  36. magnolia

    persimmon / 1168 posts

@Kaohinani: thanks doc! We have been BDing more than humanly possibly but now I’m back to work AND having a heat wave so I’m just too tired. But maybe I’ll try tonight. DH is always game

  37. Kaohinani

Not symptom spotting because I'm only 4 dpo and that is RIDICULOUSLY early but, with the exception of craving salty/cheesy foods today (I blame the estrogen surge/temp drop), I am fascinated with my LACK of anything. Usually by 4 DPO I have a bit of breast or nipple discomfort, some cramping, and my post-OV chin acne is in full effect. Today, NADA. My chin looks awesome (minus scaring from previous cycles) for once. * Forgive my "flush" in the affixed photo as I just completed a workout 💪and tried covering my "glow" with translucent powder... #CakeyFaceFail. Hoping things stay this well. 🤞

  38. SupernovaJ

    persimmon / 1141 posts

@Kaohinani: We should really switch to mornings!! Night time we are just so exhausted after putting the kids to bed, but I will remain laser focused and stay on track...

Oooh maybe all those NON symptoms are a symptom in and of itself. SO ready for you to get that BFP... this cycle is IT!

@magnolia: More than humanly possible--oh wow. Husband always talks a big game about how he wants it everyday all day and then as soon as I'M the one being super proactive because it's "go time", he's all tired. Rolls eyes...

  39. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Kaohinani: Hopefully the non symptoms are symptoms! Didn't you have a lot of non symptoms last month too? I mean we don't speak of it, but this time we get a sticky one?
