7dpo...could this TWW be draaaaggggiiiinnnnggg on any more? I just got a huge promotion at work, so the transition has kept me very busy during the day, feeling upbeat and generally in good spirits. However, my husband has been out of town since ovulation day, so the evenings have been slow and boring.
Anyone else want to gripe about the TWW?

@Bigskygirl: Congrats on your promotion.
So far I'm only 2 or 3 DPO. My husband is going out of town as well starting tuesday, so I don't have too long to be going crazy by myself at night. I have been feeling a little cramp-y though. That is probably just due to the heat today. I'm trying to be really hopeful for this cycle.
If I do get KU this cycle I have a little problem. DH is going to be gone for three weeks for work. So the question is, how do I tell him? I bought a cute onesie and a book for him, and was going to wrap that with the positive pregnancy test. Telling him over the phone just doesn't seam as exciting. Any cute ideas?

@Bigskygirl: Congrats on the promotion!
@auggiefrog: If he's going to be gone for so long, can you Skype/face time with him? Maybe mail him your package and have him open it while you guys are video chatting?

@Bigskygirl: congrats on the big promotion! That's awesome! I'll whine about the tww with you. I'm only 2 dpo, so I've got a looooong way to go. Ha. I'm so impatient.
@auggiefrog: that's tough! I don't have any great ideas, unless you can skype / video chat, and make some kind of cute t-shirt to wear and eventually sit back so he sees it? Something like "knocked up" or "coming May 2015..." something fun?
kiwi / 631 posts
@kick641: I thought about mailing it to him, and having him open it, but I don't know that I will be able to wait a whole extra day to tell him. I will probably just have to tell him over FaceTime.
kiwi / 631 posts
@ballerinabee: A tee shirt might be kind of cute. You made me just think of something though. I could tell him he got a package here in the mail when we are video chatting, and open it in front of him. Then I could pull out the onesie with the positive test, or pull out something that says you're going to be a dad, or something like that. I'm kind of liking that idea!

@Bigskygirl: Thank you! And congratulations on the promotion!!! The TWW is the worst - I keep thinking of that commercial for the early pregnancy tests when the lady says "wouldn't it be nice to know you're pregnant at the moment of conception?" I want to yell at the tv "yes! yes it would be nice!"
@kick641: hahaha, you would have every right to be. I'm jealous of those girls too - and the ones who actually know when they ovulated I'm totally not expecting it on cycle 1. But I do have to remind myself that I don't expect it, so I don't get disappointed!

@Bigskygirl: OMG, YES! Crawling. I am 11dpo and it's driving me nuts. I'm really trying not to symptom spot, but it's pretty much impossible. I keep telling myself, I will wait...I will wait...and then, I'm like I want to POAS.
I just want to know one way or another, but I'm trying to be good and wait.

Ugh, the day before my af normally comes and I had a temp drop. Boo. If it comes tomorrow I might be able to test again at the end of Sept, though.
kiwi / 673 posts
@kick641: that bites!
I've had a slight temp drop yesterday and today. Also feeling crampy. I used a cheapy today because I really wanted a drink during football games/cookout today. Bfn. I'm not too hopeful on the bfp front right now. I really wish af would just show her face already if she's going to make an appearance.

Hey ladies, I'm still actually waiting on AF but I got a BFN today so I'm assuming the next day or two will be CD1.
Cycle Day: -2
TTC Cycle #: 6
POAS date: 9/28 (two days before my 30th birthday!)
Baby #: 1
Your plan this month: I think we are going to do the "sperm meets egg" plan this month. We've had good timing for 5 cycles, so I'm feeling anxious now that we are approaching the 6-month mark. (You know that stat that bounces around....85% of couples conceive within 6 months....) Plus, if we don't get a BFP this cycle, we are going to have to stop for a bit so as not to conflict with my sister's wedding next year.

Fall activities you are looking forward to: Everything! I love fall! But especially apple picking, football, and Halloween!

Onto September...
Cycle Day: CD2
TTC Cycle #:2
POAS date: Maybe 9/30, not sure if I'll O in time to POAS in Sept, but here's hoping
Baby #:2
Your plan this month: Using OPKs and BD EDD start day 12
Chart link: not charting
Fall activities you are looking forward to: pumpkin beers (silver lining), apple picking, boots and jeans weather, talking LO to a pumpkin patch

Tentatively joining...
Cycle Day: 8
TTC Cycle #:1
POAS date: It depends on O day, but maybe Sept 20?
Baby #:2 (eeeeek! LO is 9.5 months. We crazy)
Your plan this month: just seeing what happens!
Fall activities you are looking forward to: LO first Halloween, and the birth of my niece!
grapefruit / 4361 posts
Cycle Day: 33 Longest cycle ever, for me
TTC Cycle #: 1
POAS date: Sept 3rd
Baby #: 1
Your plan this month: I had an LH surge as confirmed by temps, OPKs, and a Clearblue monitor Days 11-16, with peak fertility on day 15 & 16 and a thermal shift on Day 16. I had sustained temps for 4 days, but dips at what I thought was 6 & 9 DPO. I was hoping they were a corpus luteum dip and and implantation dip but I guess not...
I had another thermal shift at day 25, and I thought oooh triphasic chart? But now with AF being 5 days "late" and 10 BFNs of different brands.... I guess I ovulated a lot later probably due to work stress. I'm also disappointed because we only BDed once during the "real" fertile window.

Fall activities you are looking forward to: My dad is visiting the first week of October and it's his first visit spending significant time here (we live 2500 miles apart.) I also have that week off of work, and I'm looking forward to the stay-cation! Lastly, I just finished grad school a couple of weeks ago so I'm looking forward to a bit more free time.

@Eko: I started spotting today, so I think I'm out for 9/1 date. But, I might throw my hat in the ring later this month if I can actually ovulate on time.
I'm pretty bummed, but wins for this month include 1) actually ovulating 2) getting af w/o provera 3) luteal phase seems to be the right length.
Good luck to the rest of you ladies!

@Hoots: Bummer! Hopefully your body will cooperate and you will get another chance! Sounds like things are moving in the right direction.

Well, I'm out as well--af started today. Boo! On to the next month, although I think I will actually be able to poas again at the end of sept.
Anyone know if there's anything negative about short cycles--like under 28 days? This one was 25 Days...is that a bad thing?
apricot / 375 posts
I'm out too. AF arrived this morning. At least she waited until we were leaving our beach weekend
On the bright side - even with missing two weeks of temperatures, I still was right when I figured out when I ovulated. So I'm moving on to October, but I'd love to stay as a cheerleader!
@hilsy85: I don't think so, as long as your luteal phase isn't too short (which I believe means less than 9 days) you should be okay. It just means you don't have to wait as long to try again. Ladies, if I'm wrong, please let me know!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@mrs scrapbook: I believe that's right. @hilsy85: my cycles have been 25/26 days lately but my luteal phase is 11-13 days long so I think it's ok.
squash / 13764 posts
@travellingbee: r@mrs scrapbook: ok thanks! Lp was about 12 days this cycle which seems ok.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@hilsy85: yup. I wouldn't worry about cycle being short then.

@hilsy85: my cycles were very short when I got pregnant with DS--between 21-25 days. It's all about the luteal phase, I think.

@travellingbee: thanks! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't totally off base
@hilsy85: I wouldn't worry then!

I actually got a surprise BFP last week but it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. AF started today only a few days later than scheduled so I should get to POAS by 9/26...projected 9dpo as suggested by my doc to monitor for progesterone

Ugh so sad to see so many ladies out so early. I broke down twice and POAS'd, both . Not a surprise since it is still early and I usually don't see any until about 13DPO or so. I just need to be patient I guess.

Okay, so this was my cheapie this morning, but I also took a frer and it was stark white. What do you guys think? (Obviously I'll be testing again tomorrow morning)
squash / 13764 posts
@kick641: That looks like a positive to me!! I have no experience with wondfos tho, so don't know if they are more senstive than FRER...? But that definitely looks positive!!!
