@chopsuey119: OMG. dieeeeeee
@Mrs. Polish: The first awake smiles are the best!!! gold!!!
These days LMW is scooting over to wherever Wagon Jr. is and playing with the toys by his feet. Or grabbing his feet. He notices her and crouches down face-to-face with her and says "hi, hey, hey there baby Jodie" in a cutesy little baby voice. He also likes to take his blankie and act like it's talking, and he says "mumma! poppa!" (I have no idea why) and it makes her laugh.
When we're putting LMW to bed he likes to pop in her room and say goodnight to her as she's having her bottle and right before he goes to take his bath. He says "good night! sleep tight! I'll play with you tomorrow!"

So cute!
I would have to say the first time I walked in the door and my son looked at me, smiled and army crawled to my feet. I can still cry over thinking about that moment.

after my hair disaster, I came home and scooped up J. He looked at me weird and picked up a fistful of my hair. he smelled it and went "mmm" and gave me a huge hug. it was so sweet, I felt like crap about the ordeal and that just made me feel 1000+ times better.

He does this thing when I'm nursing in the middle of the night/early morning where he strokes my upper chest with his outer hand, then grabs my free hand and holds it to his chest or cheek.

E reached for me the other day and now when you lean down to kiss her she opens her mouth like she knows it's a kiss. She always wraps her arms around me now, and I melt.

Last night I was playing with DD and said "I love you" to which she responded "ow woh woh". *swoon*

@LuLu Mom: ohhhh the sweet open-mouthed kisses!!! I love how they stay so still, wide-eyed and blinking as they realize they understand what's going on-- mommy is giving me a kiss because she loves me.

My newest favorite is when I go to get DD from her crib after her nap. She'll stand up at the bars, while I stand up against the crib and just lay her head on my stomach and *hug* me. They after a minute or two of that she'll lift her arms up to tell me she wants to be picked up. This is from the baby who is almost *never* snuggly with mama, so it makes my heart melt.

This happened last night. DD is 10 weeks. She woke up at 2 to eat, and afterwards I was half asleep with my eyes closed while trying to rock her back to sleep and patting her back to calm her down. I heard her coo, which doesn't happen very often, and thought to myself how glad I was that she was cooing. Then she did it again like 5 seconds later so I open my eyes to look at how adorable she is, and she's staring at me and smiling!!!! (And now I'm tearing up at my desk just thinking about it)
She's starting to get more and more interactive and I LOVE it!!!!

aww this thread is no good for my hormones! all teary now!!
DD puts her arms out to you now and just this week said her first word - Mama! Only when she's upset, though..but still counts
So now when she's upset in her crib, I'll walk in and she'll put up her arms and cry, "maaaaaaama!" ..today I picked her up and she put her head down on my shoulder, stopped crying and gave the biggest, happy sigh. just when I think it can't get any better...it does!

I love this thread! My heart is meltinggggg!!
This weekend we took our son to an amusement park. While we were walking, he asked me to pick him up. He grabbed my face with both hands and looked into my eyes, smiled, stroked my cheek with his right hand and then gave me a hug! I was DYING. My husband got a little jealous. haha. And then he spotted the water fountain and wanted to be let down. It was a 5 second melt-my-heart-into-putty moment for sure.

@sorrycharlie: How sweet! DS does the "Mamamamamama" when he's upset too!
So many of these are so great...I love reading them!
DS will slap our faces as he's eating. I know he's doing it thinking he's stroking our faces, but I just love it!
