    WOW, walking out of target without any extras is a huge feat! Don't think I've ever been able to do that~

    Our photographer had to reschedule our family shoot to next week, so she's giving us the rights to her digital negatives for free!!!

    We just made it through grocery shopping and the drive through for lunch with no crying! DD isn't a fan of the car lately. Silver lining: nothing makes you stick to your list like the possibility of a screaming baby - no time for lolly gagging.

    @Mrs. High Heels: that's awesome (not the canceling part)! It's so nice to get ALL the pics!

    @chopsuey You my friend are an inspiration. I couldn't do that!

    @mrs. Champagne happy birthday!

    @Oliviaoblivia Exciting!!

    @lovelyplum Three cheers for getting work done! So nice that you can bring baby to work! What do you do?

    @fussygal: I'm a grad student, and it work in an office this year for my assistantship. I'm finishing up some end of year projects before summer. Fortunately, the office was pretty empty today, and she slept all afternoon. This morning had me worried, though- all I managed to do between nursing her, cleaning spit up, and changing diapers was to print two documents!

    Mine is a little bit silly, but the office I work in sees a lot of Spanish-speaking clients (as well as refugees from all over). Once they are in the back, a caseworker can use a translator over the phone, but we don't have that up at the reception desk, and I don't speak Spanish, except for a few lines which I have found invaluable ("Do you want to see your social worker? Please have a seat and listen for your name")

    I think I've gotten those sentences down pretty well, even though it's obvious that I don't speak Spanish, but yesterday, a client was fumbling trying to ask for a worker, and I used the above line, and two girls in the lobby started laughing and clapping and saying "you go girl!" to me. I laughed and said I was trying, and they said "you sounded great!" Small thing, but it was a bright spot of an otherwise crap day

    I am running my second 5k this weekend, and I think I will be able to do it in the time that I want.

    My mom is coming down to visit tomorrow through Sunday.

    @MrsTal: that is a big yay!

    I am generally loving my life lately (husband, baby, cats, apartment), and my first week back at work after maternity leave has gone smoothly. So far I am very happy with our child care setup. And I am working from home today, so I am done with my commute for the week!
